Ricky, I did a little checking & it is a red Fromia.It was missing a leg when I got it,I guess I kinda fell for the underdog aspect;)

I think I may have tracked it to salinity. It went up & down by a couple points for a couple weeks. I never really liked those darned turbo snails anyway,they seemed like a bull in a china shop knocking things over.

I joined but I'm not sure I want to belong to a club that would have me as a member:D Actually I'm the newbie that's just starting out with corals.

I've had 5 snails die in a month & a half. I've lost 2 turbo snails,2 nasarius snails & 1 Trochus Snail.The trochus snail died a day or so after I got it, the last turbo died last night.My wife said this morning the Emerald crab was picking at the shell,I'm assuming the crab did not kill it but was just picking at the empty shell? The water parameters are fine.I'm doing 10% water changes once a week.The only things in the tank are a pair of clowns,a fire shrimp,Emerald crab(small) & a little red star fish.Sorry I don't know the species I got it at Rose City and forgot to ask Nick the name of it.The tank is a 29 gal bio cube.Sorry if I'm rambling I'm just throwing as much info as I can out there.

When I moved from Orange County Ca. to Castle Rock Wa.(pop 2200) for quite awhile I was known as that guy from California(scary) I've been here long enough to be accepted as a local now.

Kinda like me,standing tall & proud(laugh) they are doing real good.

Some of them are now living in my tank.Thanks again!

My Fire Shrimp molted last night & left this perfect sized exoskeleton.My wife is getting ready to read a book about Lobsters to her class starting Monday & would like to take it to her class to show her kids.She's worried though that the shrimp needs to eat the exoskeleton like a lobster does to get calcium & help rebuild his shell & she's not sure she should take it from the tank.Can anyone teach the teacher here?

This am I noticed a little baby one on the glass.When I first noticed the one I took the picture of, I saw what looked like a puff of white smoke come out of a crevice in a rock,kinda freaked me out.Looked like my rock was catching on fire (laugh).

This has been crawling around my tank.I finally was able to scoop it out & put it in a glass & get some pictures.It looks like a snail.It has 2 long tentacles in front, a small shell.I just don't know is it good or bad?

I picked up a Phosphate test kit today & they were 0. Nitrates were at 20.I did a 10% water change & retested for Nitrates & they were still at 20. Other prams were Amm.=0 Nitrate=0 PH=8.4 Sal=31 SG=1.023(with a hand held refract.) Should I do another water change?

I just got a pair of baby clowns they are about 1" or so.I've been feeding them frozen Mysis shrimp twice a day.I give them a 1/2 a cube in the AM(thawed of coarse)before I go to work & the other 1/2 about 12 hrs later when I get home.I've been feeding twice a day because they only seem to be eating the real small pieces of shrimp.Does this seem to be OK or am I over feeding?

I had the pleasure of dealing with Ricky Jr at Soutas today.I got a pair of clowns,some snails & my son got an anemone.I must say Ricky Jr is very sharp for as young as he is(maybe I'm just getting old) DOH! Anyway,Thanks!

Not a fish but an Invert.My Serpent Star rarely comes out,even at night.I go to work at some odd hours(between 1:30 & 3:30 am) & I hardly ever see anything other then his tentacles sticking out from the rock.

Andy I have a question for you.You said you bought your wife's laptop with Amex & doubled the warranty. I just bought my daughter a laptop from Dell & used my Amex card.I guess my question is how do you go about resolving any warranty problems when it's out of factory warranty & now into Amex warranty? I have a 29 gal bio cube.I'm getting ready to start adding fish after having the tank going for 2 months now(a looooong 2 months) I'm thinking of having a pair of ocellaris clowns & a 6 line wrasse.Does it matter if I add the clowns first or the wrasse first?
