  1. Thanks for all the kind words. My move to a planted tank will satisfy a number of needs/wants for me. 1. Less death. 2. Cheaper hobby. 3. Quieter tanks 4. More scholing fish. As to the drygoods (lights, pumps ect.) I will set an initial price for each item and then offer them to folks in order that they have PMed or asked in this post. If my first price is good, then the first person will grab it. If my first price is too high, then no one will and I'll drop it and go 'round again. I haven't sold dry goods before so I don't know how my pricing will be... I've treated them all well so 120% of my purchace price sound fair, right? puntific Eventually I'll have a dry goods list, but those who have spoken up for my dual ballast or pumps will get first crack. I'm home today if you want to come by and grab livestock or try to talk me down off my prices... 503-281-7030.
  2. Harold: There will be some equipment eventually. I have to sort out what I need for my new system. I'm pretty sure I'll have a couple of reeeely big pumps, as well as a galaxy 250 double ballast w/ two relfectors that are less than a year old. Probably call the bulbs finished... Other stuff too. Brad: I can't really put my finger on it. Ever since I put the sump in the basement, I've had troubles. I honestly can't think of why that might be a problem though. If I can figure out what I have left in the growouts, I'll put them up for sale to any willing buyers. Scott
  3. Yep. I can't face it anymore. I'm moving over to planted tanks and maybe someday, Discus. Anyhow... Pictures are older and do not represent size. They do represent color well. I'll be selling my surviving coral. The only things still alive are very hardy and will come back great. 1 15x8 rock with 13 orange/pink Yumas (1 huge, 2 large and the rest small, but not babies, 2 babies). This rock also has 8 Purple Tonga mushrooms. Asking $150. New Price: $90 1 Lime green Duncan w/ 50+ heads $150.$130-->$90 Yellow scroll coral, 3-4 inch, $40 $20(who would have thought this would be hardy?) 4. My mag was good two weeks ago, but I haven't checked since.
  5. Well, I fragged the crap out of it. So far the next day, all frags are doing well. We'll see in a week how I did... thanks for all the input. puntific
  6. OK... so with the RTN, dip? with what?
  7. Well, my wrasses wiped out my zoa eating nudis. I'll keep watching, but I'll be monitoring my water quality too. Thanks for all the input.
  8. So what do I need? Or should my wrasses be enough, suggesting that it's something else?
  9. OK, that must be it. I'm going to dip in Lugul's Solution.
  10. Cool, I took my scrapper and waived it at the spot and the crushed coral that was there blew away. If it were eggs, it wouldn't have blown away so easily, right?
  11. Well, my skimmer has been going crazy for a while, so I've changed about 5 gal every two-three days because of that. My Efflo has also had a major die off. I just checked my hardness, 9 dKH, and Ca, 370. I have three wrasses, green corris, 6-line and leopard. I have a huge refugium and haven't checked my nitrogen cycle stuff in ages. The coral's been in the system for 3 months I'd guess. I still don't see the Nudi's. How big are they? Compared to zoa eating Nudis?
  12. I'm looking closely at the pic and also at the coral, but can't see what you are looking at. Are monti eating nudi's around the same size as zoa eathing ones? Just so I know the size I'm looking for... There are some brown spots on my glass...

  14. wegotijs said: I always try to frag it about a inch above the line were the flesh is coming off . Pull it out and see if it stinks if so that's about the only choice. Is the flesh pealling away or could it be nudibranches. My response: the flesh just seems to be coming off. I don't see any nudibranches...
  15. And will Lugol's Solution do anything or do I need something else?
