  1. Aqua-ed: Bubble algae has been in there for a while, and I've had emerald crabs in our tank for a while. At least a good 6 months? Maybe I need a few more of them? I'm running a 135g system. We have 1 male and 2 maybe 3 females. As far as peppermint shrimps we only have one. I'm guessing I should have more? Jptrson: Squirts are fine but what if they are next to another anemone, I have to be sure it won't kill them first. Have you used this product before? Are there any warnings on using it near other corals/anemones?
  2. Hope this works - here are my two:
  3. I've got a bloom it would seem of aptasia and bubble-algae. I've tried "gluing" the aptasia into their holes (cause I can't reach them to cut them off) and it worked for a few of them, but they seem to be all over my tank now. Are there any inverts out there that will eat these? I already have one peppermint shrimp in the tank now and it does not seem to be doing much. Bubble-algae, same deal, I take my rocks out and take the bubbles that I can find off but when I go back the next day I always see more. Is there anything that will eat it and keep it at bay in the tank? I've got several emerald crabs but I've never witnessed them eating it. Any ideas would be wonderful, also of ways that I can get rid of it when it is near corals and other anemone's w/o harming the stuff I want to keep. Thanks for the help!
  4. Also looking for 4-5 peices of LR or Base rock that is FLAT or as flat as possible, I need "shelves" and places to put smaller rocks and stuff on. Pics would be great and don't forget to let me know how much you want for it!
  5. Still available!! Any takers?? I'd even trade them for something else?? What do you have?
  6. Tis all I wanted to know (I was just curious) Sucks though... I can't get any clear shots with my digi camera... anyone have any ideas on how to clear them up?
  7. That is a very awesome start!! How do we submit photos to be added to this database?? Is it on a first come first serve basis as to who gets the first photo of a clownfish in? Are they going to be replaced by "better" photo's? Are we voting on the photo's to represent each of the "species" that are sent in? (was all this covered somewhere else and I missed it?). I think this will be a wonderful addition to our website. Great work for those that are involved in creating that database ID website (and this one as well). Keep up the great work!
  8. Ok, it's been decided, he's coming with me to the meeting. We have room for 2 people comfortably and 3 people snug. This is a NON-SMOKING vehicle, I don't care if you smoke but your not smoking in my Jeep I'd be willing to pick people up on the way down for a couple bucks in gas. Send me a PM if you're going and want a ride. I live in Boring just off HWY 26. Hope to see you all there!!
  9. How does one post photo's? How to post photo's on this site or send them through messages??? Can you point me towards the directions for that?? I Can't seem to find it DOH! I have a few things I would love to have I'd but am semi-technically impaired LOL
  10. Either Tomato or Cinamon (or one of each) clowns. Bonded pair, laid eggs for the people I got them from, tried laying eggs in my tank but they got eaten by other tank mates. Need a seperate tank from everyone else or someone who is into raising these guys. Good healthy eaters! I'll even toss in the Long tentacle anemone that they have right now. No idea what they are worth, will be doing a little reasearch on that hopefully... Make offer I can't refuse, I'm trying to save for a wedding LOL (scary) seriously though, serious offers only please.
  11. I've got a 4' compact fluorescent setup w/ 2 LED moonlights. Bulbs are 2 weeks used, Ballasts are only 2 months old (replaced through Rose City Aquarium when the origional ballasts crapped out) This is the Dual Satelite model. Works wonderful for a saltwater if you are doing fish only, we upgraded to a reef tank so we had to re-do our lights, send me a PM if you are available.
  12. agreed Yes, home delivery is awesome! I can't beat the prices anywhere else that I know of... hopefully they stay around for a while doing this
  13. No problems, got things cleared up - just cold weather delaying things, Just received an e-mail from Doran
  14. I've been trying to get a pair of Hawiian Cleaner Wrasses from these guys for the last 2 weeks. First week they said their wholesaler sold them and they would be here for me again this week. I've been calling them since Monday (that was the last e-mail I received from them) and noone answers the phone. I was wondering if anyone here had any dealings with them? Maybe I"ve just got them at a bad time?? Any help would be great!
  15. Rose City is a wonderful place to go for healthy and vibrant fish/corals. They always have a large selection when I go into the store and their tanks are always very well kept. I frequent that store very often and am comfortable in knowing that I am going home with healthy specimens to add to our system. Keep up the wonderful work guys (oh by the way did you all know they're under new ownership now?) TTYAL!! Aerinah
  16. Just wanted to say thanks again to Barelycuda for the wonderful baby clownfish we got from him Thursday, they are in the tank and doing wonderful! Our daughter is absolutely in love with them and has not been able to stop watching them since we got them. We could not have gotten a better deal on 6 tank raised clownfish than what he offered to us (and when your on a budget and trying to do saltwater that REALLY helps). I for one won't be going anywhere else for my clowns from now on (And thanks for putting up with us playing with your Bostons ... They're adorable!) See you all at the next meeting! Aerinah
  17. Other area - Please specify: Boring, OR (wouldn't let me specify when I voted) and yes... what is "area" by your definition 10 miles or 50 miles??
  18. I'll take some if your ever down this way to help you get rid of it My tangs loved eating it... I don't know about any inverts sorry...
  19. Not sure "Cutting them in 1/2" was my idea of encouragement LOL... thanks for the ideas but I don't want to take the chance of killing them by doing that... I'm not that brave Any other ideas like the feeding and water change method?? I could live with doing something along those lines. Let me know?
  20. Just curious if you could "encourage" splitting in anemone's or if it is something they just do from time to time. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I recently had one of my bubble-tips split and was curious to see if it was from outside stimulation or just part of their natural cycle of things. I have been told if you feed them too often they will split. Also that if you stress them out they will split... and a few other interesting stories; just curious to find out was is true and what are "old wives tales." Thanks for any information! Happy holidays! Aerinah
  21. Yes, wonderful party! I was glad to meet everyone that I did there although I should have written down names and screen names LOL Looking forward to next years! This one was a blast. Keep up the great work everyone! See you all next meeting hopefully! TTYL Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!1
  22. Looking for frags of the following Zoa's, not trying to be a beggar but please I'm looking for frags that are less than $15 each... even if that is only one zoa... I work PT and am trying to fill our tank for our daughter... slowly but surely I'll find everything, so figured I'd toss in a post here to see what I can find. Here's the zoa's I'd love to get a hold of: 007 golden eye alpha and omega asterina pink bam bam orange blood rain blue and gold blue abyss bumblebee candy apple pink candy apple red cats eyes creamsicle darth maul eclipse yellow electric strawberry fireball flaming meanie greenie greatful dead pink panther oxide ko's nightmare purple death safecracker bali ruby glow the shiznit tub's blues ultimate warrior yellow brick roads yellow submarine solar I have a half dozen or so zoas already that I'm trying to get pics of so I can ID them. I'd be willing to trade starts off of them (if anyone can tell me how to do it- well preferably come over and show me how) or any of the following: 2 bonded clowns (tomatoe or cinamon I'm not quite sure) with a Long tentacle anemone (healthy and huge) 4' Compact Fluorescent lighting system with moonlights (2) bulbs are 2 weeks old, and ballasts were just replaced. Upgraded to a 6' tank and can't use it anymore. Pink Pulsing Xenia frags Green mushrooms - again if someone can come show me how and anything else that is fragable while you are here.
  23. I don't think I can make this one to pay dues and such, we're having to celebrate turkey day early because my fiancee has his daughter every other weekend... I'm going to miss a good meeting huh? I'll see if we can do it Saturday instead?
  24. Corris Wrasse $40 Purple Firefish (goby) 1 @ 30 Green Chromis (Damsel - schooling ones) $6ea or all for $20 Or best offer Corals that I am looking for: Rose-tip Anemone (would trade all the fish for this) Zooanthids: (any or multiple frags of the following zooanthids, these can be ID'd on zoaid.com): 007 golden eye alpha and omega asterina pink bam bam orange blood rain blue and gold blue abyss bumblebee candy apple pink candy apple red cats eyes creamsicle darth maul eclipse yellow electric strawberry fireball flaming meanie greenie greatful dead pink panther oxide ko's nightmare purple death safecracker bali ruby glow the shiznit tub's blues ultimate warrior yellow brick roads yellow submarine solar again I'm looking for starts of the zooanthids, not large quantities (although I won't refuse them lol) I'd rather get a variety of what I don't have already than one large group of one I don't have. Either way though feel free to send an e-mail with what you have. At this point I'll take cash or trade for the equivalent value in corals named above only, sorry not interested in any other corals at this time. Again I don't have these Zoas... I want to trade FOR them. Sorry for any confusion.
