  1. pm sent I sent you pm. Interested in the lr and corals. Have any sand?
  2. I might be able to use these bulbs down the road. While my system will only utilize one 150W DE I guess I would be set for the next 4 years! PM please with where you are located.
  3. I ordered a 28g JBJ Nanocube and now I'm looking for some accessories. If anyone has the above, as welll as a ~250gpm powerhead with a 1/2" OD barbed outlet (chiller pump) I am interested.
  4. Nyles, what do you mean? garrett, i know neither service makes any guarantees about the next day service for short distances, but I trust a private company more than our government (i know, i know, the USPS is a private company technically). I've found fedex ground to be the cheapest, but free packing materials with USPS Priority is nice
  5. Wow, that's pretty cheap for express shipping! Also UPS ground is next day regionally....
  6. new from petmountain.com premiumaquatics also has it for $299 but may charge shipping. i have decided to wait for the JBJ 28g HQI to begin shipping and prices might slip a bit off MSRP. Currently it can be had (pre-order) for $480 shipped, not too bad probably.
  7. well i answered my own question, found a Aquapod HQI Nano-Aquarium System 24 Gallon - 150 Watt 14,00K HQI for $327 shipped! that's hard to beat. I read about some cracking problems on older units, but I'm not sure about when this one was made.
  8. tank: I prefer shallow and deep tanks to tall and narrow, namely because I plan on installing an acrylic divider in the tank for a refugium, and shallow tanks need less light. I would strongly consider a cube tank. I want the setup to be simple and want all the equipment in the tank itself and do not want hang on the back equipment or overflows to a sump. I would consider an acrylic tank so I can install bulkheads to facilitate this. light: for an geisman or aquamedic style hanging pendant, 24" with a single 150 or 250 DE HQI, LED moonlites, and prefeberly room for a CF actinic. chiller: nano style peltier device chiller skimmer:none unless i have problems down the road wave device: any junk oscillating powerhead top-off: inverted 1 gallon jug :-) budget: up to $700 depending on setup heater: any I'm really trying to go simple this time around. i had pretty involved setups in the past with float switches, calcium reactors, and controllers but it was jut overboard. KISS is my concept going forward now. I would but a complete new setup package online but nearly all those i have seen come with a hood and CF lighting and i want this tank open to the air because of the halide lighting
  9. waiting for a better photo :-) also it appears the refuge is wider the the tank, so i assume it can't be hidden in a stand built for the display tank, but could probably be easily swapped with a 15H. The tank doesn't overheat with the 250W in a hood?
  10. I moved to Portland from Atlanta recently and the bug has bit again, I might be interested in your whole setup. Do you have any photos?
