Nice score Bob! The Setosa is a must have.

Why buy from any LFS if you can just go to the wholesaler yourself?
-
The text above is a direct quote frome the OIAB website about the 'members only club.' As a retailer, this policy seem very contradictory to the idea of being a wholesaler.
-
You will be able to buy some of the same stock that we distribute to LFS's all over the United States at a discounted retail price. Instead of buying just an acan frag at your LFS or a bleeding apple scolymia, why not be able to look at, compare, and even buy the whole colony instead of just a frag. Or instead of seeing just one scolymia in the store how about browsing through 100's until you find the one that’s just right for you. It's never boring at OIAB. Now you have a chance to "cherry pick" from our spectacular on hand inventory. Here is what you get for your $40 annual membership:

I have even had lamark angels become nippers. But then again so do some tangs. I have had to pull out more than one blue tang over the years that has started nipping at LPS.
All the research we've done on them and personal experience shows that if you put a Flame Angel in your tank they may nip at LPS, Zoanthids, or some invertebrates but otherwise they tend be safe in a SPS tank. Same goes for Coral Beauties, but Lamarck Angels and Black Spot Angels appear to not even pose a risk to any coral though. That is why we stock them.Just wanted to clarify it as it's not just "reef tanks" in general, and not all angels pose a risk.

Coral Beauties can be nippers too. But they are on the MAC list for what it's worth.
ok' date=' do coral beauty angels generally nip as often?[/quote'] -
I agree that catching fish with cyanide is an awful practice but just because a fish is not MAC certified doesn't mean it is collected with cyanide. For example we get Hawaiian net caught flame angels and they are not on the MAC list.
Lol, a quadruple post. You have a good point about the MAC fish, but one would ask could they really do better in the hands of a cyanide catcher? The answer to that I can assure you is no.
Jason, that's a good amount of fish, but I wouldn't go over that to much more. It would be a little crowded for a 34g.
*ADDED* Mini-Mysis are available frozen as well. We have both kinds.

One that I should mention about the flame angel is that they almost always nip at corals. It might not effect some corals but can whipe out others. Personally I will never put an angel of any type in one of my reef tanks again. I have tried it many times and they have all eventually become coral nippers.
-
I think that would be fine Jason. I would call that a full tank though.
-
I must also mention that just because a fish is not MAC certified doesn't mean that it is mis treated in collection.
-
You may notice that the African Midas Blenny is not on the list.
-
If we stuck to that we would be pretty limited. Granted there are 90 species now. We stock the MAC certified fish that are available but the fact is some of the fish people want are not and may never be MAC certified.

I get skin allergies really bad too. In the last couple years it has gotten realy bad for me. When I first got into reef tanks it didn't effect me at all.

oops. double post.

Here is an old photo of my M. Setosa colony that is now significantly bigger and has similar branches.

I'm pretty sure the frag is montipora setosa.

Next saturday the 28th happens to be Cheri's birthday. We could have a party then, or pretty much any Saturday works for me.
-
I'm down for a party. When should we have it?
well whats the word isaac' date=' are we partying it up or what?[/quote'] -
I guess that would be a city park. It probably won't work.
-
I believe dogs are allowed. I think they even have an off leash area.
-
What about Lauralhurst park?
-
May 9th. Not March. But that sounds fun too!

Scott, I am glad we were able to help you solve the problem. It is unfortunate when these things happen. I would like to offer you a discount on your next frogspawn.
