  1. Unfortunately I have an issue too. LOL. I just adopted a nice Green BTA from one of my friends tanks and cannot get this one. I would love to still get this one, but I doubt the two would get along and I am not sure I want two of them in the tank. Also I already have a Ridorai anemoni in there that likely would get a little pissy with 2 bta's. Sorry to cut out of the deal guys, but I really just don't need another one now. Should be as easy as pie to sell though. I know I wanted it because of its distinced pattern and color. Well take care guys and enjoy those beauties. Garrett
  2. Everything is still up for grabs. I am willing to drive anywhere within an hour to drop the system off to a buyer. Let me know if you are interested. This is a great system with the perfect amount of room for mosts reef keepers needs. Garrett
  3. Yah, I might be cutting it a little short, but I only let my water stir up for about 30min before adding it to the system. I use Oceanic salt, which desolves very quickly(nearly instant). Just need time to make sure the temperature is very similar. Garrett
  4. I am down to pick up at dsoz house. Let me know what to do on the whole payment thing. I have paypal and wouldn't mind just having priority shipping done straight to my place. If not like I said, no problem picking them up at dsoz house. thanks, Garrett
  5. I would definately be interested in one as well if you are taking a trip up north. I could also hold anyone elses for them in my tank until they are ready to pick them up. Let me know if you are heading up this way. Thanks, Garrett
  6. Here are some updated pics of some of the tanks inhabitants. So far the tank is doing great and everything is growing nicely. In the next month or so I will be pumbing all of the equitment to a shed that I am building outside of my house. I am also going to set up 2 100g rubbermade tubs and 2 75g frag tanks out in the shed. The tubs are going to be plumbed together with true union ball valves between them so that I can close of the frag system from the display system. I am also going to set up a quarantine system out in the shed to make sure all fish are in perfect health before acclimating them into the display. All together there should be around 600g or so between the frag tanks, disply tank, sumps, and the seperate quarantine tank. I hope to also add a nice refugium to the system in the near future. I just want to get the shed all up and running first. These pics aren't too great, but here ya go.
  7. Now entertaining offers. I am even willing to trade for stuff. Let me know what you have and or what your offer is. Garrett
  8. good luck with the little guy. I recently had a very similar incedent happen with my lawnmower blenny JD. He sadly died after 6 hours back in the tank. Hopefully grumpy does not suffer the same fate. Garrett
  9. Jeeze, I wish I could have been there. From all of the posts, your tanks look amazing!!! Have a good one, Garrett
  10. Agreed. Lets just end it so no one is bothered or upset. Garrett
  11. Welcome to the site and thanks for introducing your tank! I really like it. It looks like you have some really good looking stuff in there. Good luck on the 90g and I am looking forward to seeing some picks and hearing more about it. Garrett
  12. There are probably 6-8 different kinds of sponges just growing all over in my system. Several were hitchhikers and some just seem to have popped up and continue to grow. All of the sponges that are sold frequently in stores, like orange fan sponge or ball sponge tend to not do so well in captivity from what I have experienced and from what I have read. Some can be kept for several months if kept in shaded areas of the tank, but most all end up slowly whithering away. Good pieces of fresh, cured live rock are the best places to find sponges that seem to do well and grow in captivity. I have yellow, grey, white, orange, and purple and green leather-like sponges, as well as several others, mainly on the underside or in cracks and holes in my rocks. Garrett
  13. Thats an incredible price. If I needed one for a smaller system, I would definately pick this one up from you! Garrett
  14. The price is now only $300!!! Please make an offer if you are interested. I want to get this thing out of my garage and into someone elses house. It really is a nice setup if you would like to start a reef or fish only tank. Just come with a truck and a couple of guys to hall it away.
  15. Hello everyone. I have my old system for sale since I no longer am in need of it. I am getting ready to set up my coral prop system and need some cash to build some stands and buy plumbing stuff as well as many misc. items. - 90g AGA-black 24"tx48"lx18"w Retail= $250 - 75/90g AGA- black pine stand 28"tx48.5"lx18.5"w Retail= $250 - Metal Halide Canopy- black pine 17"x49"lx19"w Retail= custom buit. supplies $75 - Hang on overflow box- comes with flex hose to imput into your sump and 2xJf=pipes for continuous sifin. This reduces noise alot. Retail= $100 All together I am asking $350 for all of it! I am willing to barter and prices are not set. If you have any PFO or like metal halide ballasts, Reflectors, or Icecap VHO ballasts or like, I am definately willing to work out a trade. I am also willing to trade for either a nice Calcium Reactor, Kalk Reactor, or external pumps 1100g-2000gph (like the blue Gen X pumps). I am also looking for a couple 100g Ruppermade tuff tubs to use as my sumps for my prop system. Thanks for looking, Garrett P.S. Here is a link to the tank thread when it was all up and running. http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2224
  16. How many pounds do you think you have? If there are some decent size pieces, I will go down and pick them up. Garrett
  17. One can never really say for sure unless witness to polyp loss, but they sure do look like zoanthid eating nudis to me. I had a zoa rock come in with some once. Luckily I noticed them quickly and got rid of them even quicker. Take care and good luck. Garrett
  18. AVG has worked well for me for the past 2 years. I switched from nortons memory hogging configuation. I build computers and have worked as a technician for a long time and would most definately recomend AVG. Try and go for the one that you pay for if you want the best protection, but if not no big deal. Aslo consider using Webroots Spysweeper. You can get that at Best Buy or any other major electronics retailer. Together those 2 keep systems really clean and both auto update for you. Good choice everyone, Garrett
  19. If you are interested in trading for a great 90g tank with stand and hood, I am totally interested. LOL. I wish I had the extra cash right now. I really need to get one running. Thanks, Garrett
  20. Do you happen to need a good skimmer. I would be willing to take the other two off of your hands if you want arange a trade. The skimmer I have is an RPS-1000 with only a few months of use made by Pacific Coast Imports. It worked excellent on my 90 and is rated for a 125. Let me know. I am looking at setting up a prop system in the near future and these would probably work great assuming they are in good condition. Thanks, Garrett
  21. I am totally willing to take care of anyones tank/other pets for any much needed vacations or out of town events in the Salem area. I have pretty much had a zoo at my house for around 10 years, so there aren't many animals that I couldn't take care of. This is a great idea. I know how fustraiting it is to come home to a disaster (last summer after a Disneyland trip). So if any of you need help in Salem, let me know. Garrett
  22. I think that is the worst possible thing besides losing everything that I have every seen. I am really sorry. At least you know it wasn't from some stupid accident while you were home and just neglecting the tanks. Some times bad luck just pops up and kicks our reef keeping arses. Well you will definately have to rebuild. In a few months I will have some frags for you if you would like. Make sure and get a huge chiller. It really does the trick! Take care and sorry again for you loss, Garrett
  23. Well its sad to see that you are selling the old tank. I know this new one will be a nice upgrade for you though. I really like the way the rock is all over the back of it. Looks awesome!! Keep us posted on how it turns out. Garrett
