  4. Looks great, who made the tank?
  5. Could you please keep my grandpa in your prayers. As some of you know i came down here to take care of his ranch for a little while because he broke his hip. They were going to do a surgery to fix it or w/e and right before he fell out of the bed or something and had a heart attack and hit his head. Well he is currently in the icu at the local hospital here and is completely out of it. He keeps telling me he has to go home to get Jamie off to school and go back to work. (James/jamie is my dad) He hasnt worked for 20 yrs and my dad hasn't been in school for about 25...So i am stuck down here currently taking care of his six horses, and his stupid dogs, and chickens. I will be home soon as i can't stay any longer and my cousin is coming to take care of him but the doctors can't do anything and they say he has a slim chance of coming out of it. If you could pray for him i would appreciate it. austin

    my corals

They are wierd like that arent they? I don't know how much light they want, but they keep there best color right under a se 400w radium w/lumenarc reflector, under anything less than that they look like your picture, when they are happiest, they look like this:

thats what i thought. Those are named purple fanta-seas and i have a huge waiting list for them lol. If you ever feel like getting rid of them lmk.

Hey man, great pics...Can you possibly get a frontal shot of the purple/green zoo's you got from us? I have a feeling that i know what they are and want to see. lol
  12. Great advice holly! Sounds like stuff i hear Patrick say all the time lol!. For sea hare's, i know we do it, other stores might, we have a trade in process, for "used" sea hares, where once they clean the tank clear they can bring back the gremlin and we will give have the price back lol. It works great and i have one on a 8th tank. He eats everything, except my bryopsis lol. Basically gremlin(sea hare) recycling.
  13. Keep the opinion's coming guys, anyone running a dart on something this small? w/out completely throttling it back?
  14. btw, i think the dimensions of the tank are: 42l x 20d x 18t
  15. So i am in the final stages of setting up my 72, i am using a eheim 1262 for my return, and am deciding on a closed loop pump. I already have a sequence snapper, but am debating upgrading to a dart.... This will be an all sps tank so i do want a lot of flow, but, i will have a 1 inch sand bed that does need to stay on the bottom of the tank. I am running a sea swirl in the right corner for the return from the eheim. Skimmer is an ev-240. What do you think? Is the snapper sufficient? Or should i get a dart? For fun the stats are Snapper: max 2500gph flow Dart: max 3600gph flow What do you think?
  16. you would know about the warcrack lol.
  17. Sea hare's aka: gremlins, will mow it down pretty well ime. Also lettuce nudibranch's do a pretty good job. Foxface rabbit fish will sometimes eat it, scopas tangs, and big turbo snails.
  18. Maybe O.r.a. has some brandon, that shouldn't get here today to!
  19. Also, we would be more than willing to donate whatever the community tank would need at our cost, fish, l/r equipment, w/e.
  20. The only negative thought i had about the zoo was how far away it is from alot of members, but i'm sure that can be figured out. Thought this was interesting: Thats what they have at the senaca zoo in ny.The URSNY maintain a reef tank there, and have been doing so since 2002. David Playfair (a former RC regular that had many followers) was one of the guys that got this project going. As far as I recall it is a 540g reeftank made of glass. It is installed in a large room that has huge windows to view polar bears on the left and sea lions to the right. Each Sunday, one or more members go to work on the tank. They have specific rules, such as you can't kill anything in the tank. So aiptasia can't be nuked, and flatworms get to thrive. Kind of crazy, but the signed contract requires that they follow the guidelines. In front of the tank are two permanent binders that have heavily-laminated pages about each animal or coral in the tank. read more here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1126060
