    perculas and flow

Should be fine. They might act like they are really struggling at first, but then they will get used to it. My clownfish can swim really close to the front of my koralia 2 with no problems
  2. You might want to keep an eye out for that sea hare. They can be pretty devastating for a tank if they die. Just keep an eye out for an amonia spike, or maybe you can find it when you do the move. Good luck with the move!
  3. Interested in the tank and sump, you have a PM.
  4. I thought that I would start a thread so that we could all share our frags that we got from the CFM. I got four frags, so here they are. Other than the superman monti, I'm not sure what they are, so any ID help would be apperciated. Hope you enjoy, and lets see those pics! (rock2)

    custom tanks

Why have a TV when you can have a 2500 gallon reef wall!
  6. I have some. You can either come pick it up, or if you don't mind waiting a couple of days, I will probably be making a trip to or through albany so I can drop it off. Just let me know. Oh yea, how much do you want?
  7. Just shake your cheato into your display, will make a nice weekly treat for your fish.
  8. Very nice looking tank! Maybe I'll have to make a trip up there some day to see the tank...and maybe you could lob me off a big piece of coral...I'm not picky.
  9. you can cut them of with a razor blade, then scrub the rock with a stiff brush to get the rest of the shroom off of the rock.
  10. Yea, I like this idea. I would be willing to check on anyones tank in the corvallis area, but I am also only a 1yr newb. So having the list of experienced people would be nice.
  11. wow, nice pics thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see the pics of the display.
  12. Wow.....that's starting to make me nervous. I am on a 5 week road-trip right now and have someone looking over my tank while I'm gone. I'm really lucky though and found someone that is a reefer and is good at taking care of tanks. I think that a list or thread of people w/contact info that would be willing to check on tanks would be good. We could also post feedback/problems on the person. And if the tank sitter is an active member and has problems with the tank, they can contact someone else, and post on the forum to get help. Anyways, sorry about your loss, hopefully you can get a tank back up soon if you are planning too.
  13. I worked as a computer tech at a computer store for a while and all we did was used AVG and Firefox. It gets rid of most of the problems that people have with spyware and junk. I use the same on my computer. Norton and others like them (Macfee (sp?)) have problems because they will really slow down your computer, esp. if you don't have a lot of RAM.
  14. Nice pics! I like the long tentacle zoos.
  15. Hey Yenna, take a look at this on nano-reef, http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=123535&hl= Those are the sweetest pico's I've ever seen, and completely sealed.
  16. Can't wait to see a pic of this tank setup! I love cubes.
  17. Just couldn't stay away from the hobby, eh, yenna? :P I think my girlfriend has a 5g acrylic hex that she might sell to ya if you want it. We will be coming up through Portland on Friday if you do.
  18. I think the old Star Wars trilogy with Goonies in a close second!
  19. Wow, that looks great! I can't wait till I get out of college and have a place (and money) to do a project like this. Keep us updated!
  20. Converting a 10 gallon to a fuge is really easy. I converted a 10g for my 20L a long time ago. I cut my own acrylic and bought a pump and an overflow. The overflow balances the flow of the pump, so you don't have to worry about that. Also, just get a aqua lifter vacuum pump to make sure that the siphon of the overflow doesn't break, and you will have no problems. I think there a calculator that you can use to calculate losses from height and bends for your pump return on garf.org just buy a pump that is a little bit bigger than you need and put a valve in it. Plumb it, and your ready to go!
  21. Thought I would throw a couple in for consideration. Here are a couple pics Enjoy!
  22. Nice job! Hopefully I can raise some clownfish of my own someday.
