  1. That was VERY cool!!

Im kinda slow.....i went to the page and looked at it for a second thinking to myself..........man thats kind of a crappy picture.......cool place but i dont get whats so cool about the pic.....

    lol.......then i touched the controls : )

    You have PM

  2. ice? or do you have a soft bristled bottle brush you can tickle him out with?

Well I can't tickle him out, I can only access him from one side, he's at the elbow where it reduces and goes to the bottom of the refugium. Right now I have an air pump going hoping to drive him out, but so far no good. I may try ice water if it don't work soon.

  3. Can anyone recommend a good, active freshwater forum that also has a "Used Equipment sales" thread?

Our daughter is in need of some equipment (co2, heater) for her new set-up.

What type of heater are you looking for, i have several smaller ones in my garage.

  4. hahahahaha i highly doubt it...the day they do that they will put lfs completely out of business...besides the rates for overnight are expensive no matter what...i dont think they have much of a choice on that...thats why live stuff is so cheap...compare it to buying wholesale...things are cheap but cost 55-75 bucks a box to receive it. you gotta cover costs somewhere...i actually dont want to see prices go too low because then this wont be an elite hobby and everyone will do it...i pride myself on having success with my tank that others just cant seem to do.

i think there is a question about what the cover pic is everytime they send out a catalog...it says whats on the cover on the back next to your address.

I absolutly agree about keeping it elite. If you have $2.00 clowns every kid in town will have one in a goldfish bowl. Thats what happened with reptiles years back... $2.00 for a lizard who cares if it died, just replace it, but spend $45 and you bet they'll take better care of it.

On another note $34 is just about what fedex charges so if you see it lower or free it's priced into the fish

  5. Its probably Berghia major. While this species of Berghia also eats Aiptasia, it also eats zoanthids.

The more popular Berghia verrucicornis eats only Aiptasia.

I did some searches, and it is probably the Berghia major. The colors are quite different, but I'm not taking any chances. Thanks to everyone for the quick reply. Say goodbye to my little friend :)

  6. I cuaght this little guy this morning on my 10 gal.

Looks like a small nudabranch, it's hard to tell in the picture but it has a green color on the tips.

Not the best quality, but I had to use a microscope just to get a pic. It only a bit over an 1/8 inch long.

  7. IF you make it over this way' date=' or if anybody's going to redmond any time soon... I want it[/quote']

My wife is heading to Salem a week from Friday, If thats close enough for ya we can work something out. As for anything be moved around, just my Xenia gets knocked over from my urchin. I do however have a pile of snail shells in the back corner, the only thing that I can't seem to keep.

PM me if you want to make pick up arrangements.

  8. Better pics

After looking at the pic again' date=' it doesn't look like a normal bristle worm.... any chance you can get a picture of the whole thing, or at least the head? slim chance that it may be a "fire worm"[/quote']

A caught him tonight, he was in the overflow. These are some better pictures, as it's crawling he's about 7-8" long. I put him my algae tank for now. I hate to kill anything if I don't need to, but if he is indeed a "mega- brisstle or fire" I guess I have no choice.

  9. Can anyone tell me what this is? My tanks has been set up for over 2 years and this is the first I have seen this guy. I just happen to turn on the lights around midnight and he was up be hind my overflow. It was about 6" long and 1"+ wide about 1/4 inch thick. I took several pictures, but with a dark tank this was the best. It almost looks like a bristleworm, but I have never seen one this color or size... Also I have seen no damage to coral or polyps.
