The original songs track is "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" from Van Harlen.. If that helps any.

I was thinking the same thing. (about the belly not what you know) :p
"Sometimes" sunken belly is a sign of intestinal worms, especially if it's eating, so if that was the case
it would die long after the guarantee. Buy local. On the other hand sometimes new fish take a while to fill comfortable enough to come out and eat. My possum wrasse to over 3 weeks before I even seen him.

I'm interested! PM sent

My wife keeps wanting me to get a blue tang (a "Dory" to go with "nemo") but I keep telling her that all I hear is horror stories from others about how they don't do well in tanks.
dsoz
I've had my blue "Dory" for 4 years now, a few slight outbreaks but always seems to clear up on it's own. When I went from a 90 to 210 I had to keep it in a 50 for a few weeks and it broke out bad, I used Kent Rxp and it seemed to help but once i put it in the 210 it cleared up completely.

Anyone in the Redmond area know how to set up web camera (security cam) to use remotely.
I can't get the port forwarding, IP address thing down. I can pay cash, frags or equipment.

OOPS in my last post' date=' I meant the dynamat. What is the pink foam and where might you get it?[/quote']
The pink foam is pretty much like the egg crate foam just flat. Got it at fred Meyers.
Ended up putting it against the wall behind the tank... not as quiet, but stops the echo effect.
-
I used the pink foam pads, worked great on the sound but rasied the temp by 9 degrees. So keep an eye on your temps.

I just got a possum wrasse, very cool , but a bit shy. And the McCockers's flasher wrasse is very awsome!

Thanks,
Seems to be the strombus(clap), at least from the info I could find. I also checked all the clams in the middle of the night.. no problems. Again thanks for the info.

Okay, I need to know before I put something together - would it be wrong to use a moorish idol in the logo? Seeing how this is an aquarium club and those fish generally don't live long in captivity, I can understand that point of view. On the other hand, it would make for a VERY striking logo, and, the hobby is advancing every day. LMK your thoughts on this SOON! Even so, I may not have time to do this. I'll try though.
I like it, but just fyi it's also the logo for Oasis

Why should the LFS have a guarantee, unless the hobbyist could guarantee there system is totally up to par to support marine life. I know half the people around here don't even know what a skimmer is or even own a test kit DOH!. Risk is part of the hobby, not to say if a store has issues they could take care of thier customers.

Do you know of any other place than chemistry teachers that you can get the potassium permanganate from? I have some of these on one of my frags and have been trying to rid them by hand with no luck yet.
You can get upto 1# of PP from Fancykoioutlet.com for about $16 plus shipping.

Just a quick update, no damage to the cornea(clap). I have to take 2 eye drops every 3 hours for the week. The vision is back to normal, swelling has gone down but body aches still severe and feel stoned most of the timeBetter than licking frogs...I guess). The eye doc said about 2 weeks for redness and swelling to go away.
-
Which zoa did that to you? I heard that not all are toxic, I am starting to wonder about the ones in my tank.
I hope that your eye gets better soon.

They were some orange bambams.

Thanks Twitterbait,
This is excellent advice, I'd have family members aware of it also. After spending the first 15 minutes in emergency explaining what happened I here them on the phone to poison control "He was bit by some type of sea urchin thing" pause "I don't know how, I guess he has one in his house"
Any way I will be making a list of all my venomous fish, with symptoms and treatments after this.
or if anybody has a list I'd appreciate a copy.

I've seen this system set up. Really nice display tank. I'd buy if I had room.

You guys were right, off to emergency at 5am. After watering severely it totally crusted over (sorta like Homer Simpson) then swelled shut. They did a saline flush for about 45 minutes, and I have to go to the eye doc tomorrow to see if there is any tissue damage. If this happens to anyone, get to the Dr. within the hour as I didn't have any symptoms other the stinging until the next morning, nows there's a chance of permanent damage due to the toxin not being totally flushed from the eye.
And thanks for the concerns. I just wanted to share this so others think about it more seriously. Remember, I wasn't fragging.. just picking up a rock to add into the tank.

We have 4 small dogs, so we get ours shampooed about every other month with no problems.
I'd be more worried about using any aerosols to hide the smell.
-
Just a reminder to wear goggles and gloves when working with zoo's.
Last night I was just putting a small piece of zoo's in my tank when the rock broke, I looked down to catch it and got squirted right in the eye DOH!.It stung a little but didn't think too much about it, this morning I woke it felt like I had a hangover, eye was stinging like crazy and swelled quite a bit, as the day went on I've had blurred vision, aching muscles and slight cramping, nausea and now the shakes and itching all over. I hope the worse is over(scary)

I have been emailing with her' date=' and will be sending some live rock and a few cups of live sand over with a family member tomorrow. I know it's short notice, but the family member was already planning on heading back then. Does anyone else local (Eugene-ish) want to add anything?[/quote']
I just talked to her today, sounds like a total loss.... (flame)if anyone in the bend/ Redmond area would like to help her get started again feel free to drop it by my shop, I will make sure she gets it. If anyone has gone through this, they know it's more than just a loss of money but also a loss of time and sense of accomplishment. If you need my address just PM me.

I have had one in my tank now for 7 months, I shoot it with DT's about once a week. Not 100% positive this works, but apparently hasn't harmed.
