I have a small 1000 gal pond, with mix of Koi and Shubunkins. Water cress works very good for water clarifying. You can go to the supermarket and get it from the salad area in those little clam shells pack. Theres no roots on it , but just tuck some in around moving water and it grows like crazy. As long as it don't freeze solid the fish go to the bottom and go dormant. PS Stay away from water Iris, I had one in a 1 gallon pot ended up weighing about 300 pounds.

I agree with long acclimations, but on some sites they way they show you to drip acclimate for 3 hrs your sort of defeating the purpose....The temps can drop 10 degrees. I prefer the float the bag with the edges rolled down then add water from your tank to the bag this way your bag has temp acclimated also. JMO

Could it have been spoiled food? Like bad DT's or something?

Just out of curiosity, will it kill bacteria? I know a few people who have FOWLR tank and have a hard time keeping nitrates down. I know they're dirty fish, but if the copper reduces bacteria wouldn't that compound the problem?

We snorkeled Molokini, saw some of the biggest lobsters ever, could have ate my Weiner dogs easy! Maui aquarium was awesome. I have also been to Monterey, Newport and Shark Reef in Vegas. Don't waste the money in Vegas, one of the saddest things I've ever seen. Most of the fish had LLE, fin rot and just looked like a sick fish dumping grounds and it cost some where around ? $18 (flame)

I think the only other thing to think of is if you were running a basking lamp in the tank you might want to double check the seal. Ya know the extreme heat. Just a thought.

What Kelvin are your bulbs, and the shops? IME crocea's do better under 10k's,but like I said thats just what I have experinced. John

If he's in a large rock and you want to get rid of him, you can fill his hole with super glue gel.(enforcer) Just watch your fingers, they will protect themselves.

I've had really good look with it. It's pretty think and comes with a little syringe. just shoot some in from of the aptasia and it sucks it in and is gone the next day, never had any collateral damage. John

Blue Life make an aptasia killer that works real well, no need to inject just a little squirt. Bubble coral on the other hand is a lot of work. If it's just a few rocks in extreme cases I have found that taking the rock out and spraying with a garden hose blasting it off. Probably not recommended, but has worked for me.

You might try fozen Cyclo-peeze or even the wafers, got my clown gobies to eat. Or live brine. John
