  1. I have Olympus E-300 DLSR 8.1mp with Olympus Zuiko Digital 50mm lens that i purchesed today for 510$US. The trick is that if you have Olympus 1:2 ratio and if you have lens 50mm same ratio it becomes 100mm camera. whatever lens i get i need to multiplie it x2 I dont know about your camera prices but for the lens of 100mm for Olympus they told me i would look at 799 to 1000US$ depends on the quality. But with the 50mm looking buy the pictures i attached It do the trick just fine.

  5. sorry for my spelling errors" english second language" zzzzzzz
  6. It is not really difficult to keep seahorses and pipefish, but there are some problems you can avoid by being well informed before setting up a tank with these animals. Seahorses and pipefish should not be kept in small tanks. These animals love to swim and especially male seahorses need an own territory. They will fight with other male if there is not enough place in the aquarium, for best results keep one mail.” That’s what I got” Seahorses and most of the pipefish don´t like a strong current. Although in nature some seahorses live in areas with very strong water movement, the quality of this natural current is totally different from the "self-generated" current in our tanks. On the other hand the water movement may not be too slow because of possible negative effects on the tanks quality of water. Choose flow pumps, which circulate the tank volume 2 to 4-times an hour. Mount the pumps closely beneath the water surface of a 20-25 inch high water level. The output opening should be strictly horizontal (not diagonally downwards). Seahorses and pipefish don´t need bright light. There is no need to buy expensive HQI burners, because a few white and blue fluorescent lights are absolutely sufficient, Another advantage of the fluorescent lights is the substantially smaller heating of the water, which may be very important in a hot summer. Well I do have a chiller so I use 65w power compacts over my 40 gl refugium. An important factor is a constant temperature of the water. For most seahorses and pipefish 25°C is the right level. These fish are sensitive for very high water temperatures and variations in temperature. Nearly all of my seahorses and pipefish eat frozen food. But there are some individuals only accepting live food. This could be a problem if there isn´t any place near your hometown to get this special food from. To avoid future problems, ask your dealer to demonstrate the seahorses and pipefish in his tank eat frozen food - BEFORE you buy the animals! It´s really frustrating to observe a thin and unlucky seahorse permanently searching for food you don´t have. GOOD LUCK!
  7. Nyles you might leave in an Arctica or somethign for the house to get 50c at night. You might think of gettign yourself a house heater too than :P not to get sick or somethign, dude we didnt even have that temperature In RUSIA ---and we supposed to have cold climat. " Plus if you have kids runing around the house " my suggestion is to keep it higher than 50 :(

  11. that's why we all have chillers to chill water runing 2-250 on 200gl tank will do the trick but tha'ts about it. if you want to see stuff grow ect. butter stick with 400w the only flaw 400w have is the " ELECTRICAL BILL " HEHE DOUBLES UPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  13. Sea Horse school, and easy rider" taxi" FUnny
  14. The best way I found to feed sea horses was to train them to swim to the same place at the same time. I made a Plastic Plate where I place my frozen mysis. “ this way they wont get taken by the current. I had them for a while now every time I walk into the room you can see them swimming to the same place where I place their snacks- I attached few pictures. (naughty)
  15. That’s funny because most of the people trying to cool their aquariums down because of the heat that metal halide makes, So I think if you have 120 gl tank you need aaam 2 400w 20k” I prefer” with some VHO’s and you don’t need to worry about heating your tank, but you need to think about getting yourself a chiller specially with today’s weather :P And another thing “ from my experience’ usually at night when the light are off water temperature stays between 77-78 “ with out the chiller” and that’s where you want it too be. But if you still want to have a heater just for emergency’s 500 w Titanium Aquarium Heater with Controller is the way to go. On ebay you can get it for about 60US;) .
  16. well this is the best 11gl aquarium i seen so far !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. (threaten) Foxy i'll wrestle ya today...... coming to your store right now(threaten)
  18. Today i was changing water in my 75 gl aquarium...... and i decided to check on things I looked in my overflow box , and look what I found!!!!!!!!!!! “PICTURES ATTACHED” I got that in like approximately from 1 to 2 month. It almost plugged my return pipe. I guess I need to paint my cover black- for the light not to get there anymore. So if someone did looked there yet …. Good idea to do so… who knows what can u find there… (scratch)

  22. Sorry forgot to add that all this was posible thx to Coral Reef Pet Central and Advanced Aquarium
  23. Tank size is 75gl, plus 30gl refugium, and 45gl sump. Aquarium have 2 400w metal halide, 1 -96w blue actenic power compact and 1 110w VHO actenic light ,4 moonlight This tank was originally skimmed by a Deltec AP850 for the first five months of operation, but I later changed to a Deltec AP902. Currently I am experimenting with a Deltec AP1004 in the setup. The tank has gotten better and better, with less algae and detritus. The real reason for my latest skimmer update is that I am planning to upgrade to a larger tank. An IKS Aquastar™ computer is my system's "brain." The IKS monitors the tank's temperature, the pH of the kalk reactor, measures the salinity and pH in the main tank as well as controlling the ORP, the lights and top-off water additions. Using a combination of the IKS, some dosing pumps and ancillary equipment makes it possible to have very stable water parameters. To provide calcium and alkalinity to the tank I use a Deltec PF601S kalk reactor and KM500S kalk stirrer. I use A.R.M media in my reactor and E.S.V. calcium hydroxide in the kalk stirrer. The kalk reactor runs at pH 6.5 during the day and 6.7 at night (the IKS controller can have separate day/night parameters). I discovered this provides a more stable Kh over a 24-hour period. I also use a P.O. "dual" chamber containing A.R.M media, located after the reactor, to raise the pH by 0.2 in the return water back to the sump. A chiller model sl 650 A 1/2 hors to keep it between 77-79 F." Does a good job keeping it there that's about it.
