i had that fish for 2 years now, when i bought it looked like that and it still looks' the same all my fish that i got in my aquarium are " FAT" except this one" have no idea why i have automatic feeder that feeds them 3 times a day, do no.

i agry with fly guy, turn it horizontal, and about 20k bulbs " are they xm. xm are really blue that's waht i got 2 400w 20k XM the good thing about those bulbs are that after few month it will loose some of that blue and will become 14k bulb, if youll buy 14k bulb after few month your tank light will be yellow, bulbs burn out tooo fast and loose its color, so if i was u just keep the 20k bulb and wait month or 2 youll see the color diference, or maybe you didnt wait long enought for the bulb to heat up. because when u turn them on the bulb will get to it's 100% brightness after 30min or more depends on the bulb and the temperature of the place.

I was using seio 2600 powerhear in my 75gl aquarium, the powerhead was doing great job with water flow, but i noticed that the water sucking in that pump is too powerfull for some fish, today i came home and noticed that one of my yellow tangs was sucked to my seio 2600 powerhead pump. thx God when i disconnected the powerhead the yellow tang was still alive. But it had some scales missing and the meat was visible. Anyway what im trying to say is, make sure you have large fish in your tank if you using one of this powerheads, or turn it down to minimum, " that's what i did" i posted pictures below of the tang for u to see the yellow tang size is about 3-3 1/2 inches. so it's a pretty decent size.

I called Advanced yesterday and i called Jason at coral reef, none of them had anything on hands, they told me that they need to order some, Advanced Rian told me he will have fue blue striped tailed sea slug but they are so pretty it will be a waist of such pretty animal when flat worms will be gone :(

well looking at it with a normal eye, it looks more light brown with a dot in the middle. maybe it looks like that under microscope or something, and another one i saw today was more clear" hallow" with a brown dot in the middle.

hey guys, need some advice on how to get read of flat worms, today i looked closely to my leather, brain corals and i notice there was like at list 30 that i notice, i heard that blue striped tailed sea slug will do the job, but they are so pretty, what if they run out of flat worms, they will die? is there any othey way to get read of them????? one of my brain looses it's skin allready, i dip him in coral dip solution, all the fletworms died off, but that's temp. i need some good solution.(scary) (scary) (sad)

i dont think it's reall, when i magnify the picture by 300% in my CS2 software you can see inc pixells where he made a mistakes.

dude if you need full version of CS2 let me know i will give it to u , but personally i like Macromedia Flash to make a websites i have that one too, or Front Page, Get yourself a templet from ammm like http://www.templatemonster.com/ and use one of those programs CS is kind of boring with not much of futures, but that's all depending on what exactly u want Flash? Full Page website...... ???? and the cheapest server i found was www.1and1.com recomended by PC magazine, " that's what i have too". so far no problem with them. anyway hope that helped.

well i'm testing the water right now, i wont recomend it to use it with your system, just for encase somethign would go wrong. i'm doing that for fun, nothign better to do, and plus i have a chance to be at the coast 3 times a week. if someone doesent have that oportunity i wont be spending gas money to go and get ocean water. Salt mixes have everything u need to have a health aquarium. but if you need some ocenic water and you leave in salem i can always give you some there is no problemo with that

well i run small pump i think it's like 98gpr or somethign like that, plus i have too chambers" reactors" first it runs water to my phosban reactor with media than from there it goes to my second reactor with nitrates media, than from there it shoots to my sump sock. i hope that will slow the curent

i dont think it's worth making one, to much time and effort, you can get it online for 30 backs from ebay or 55$ from advanced aquarium or 59$ from CRPC the PM one. but on ebay i saw many of them that was from 20 to 38 backs companies like KENT< PHOSBAN< PM

Ok hommies up there, here is what i found out about the ocean water, few day's ago i went to CRPC in salem i got myself a sea fan, from BrIAN Foxy, he was mad buy the way- for taking it " he wanted to keep it for his aquarium" SOrry brian!!!"anyway let's get back to the storry, I got it to see how will it act in the water from the aquarium and the water i took from the Ocean Laguns , i put that fan in my aquarium that i had for more than 3 years, i did a water change week before i put that see fan in, i waited a day to see if i'll get any tentickles after a day, there was maybe 3 stiking out from each brunch, than i took same sea fan and put it to the tank filled with Ocean water and in like 2-3 hr the all peace was covered in little sea fan tenticles <--- my english sux didnt know how to spell it right :( i posed some pictures below.

CCR what test kit in the window i dont see anything ???? any hints??????/

well here is the thing or the Lalifert test kit is way off or i have no phosphates what's soever. it was showing same thing befor and after same sh*t hummmmmmmm well the test kit shows that i got 00.1 phosphates in the system, and looking at the alge and everything i have in my tank looks really happy and healthy.....

the skimer that i have was working all day today so far i have no waist what so ever, so the water i was using is not that bad, maybe its because it was from the Bay area???

Yes i will oceanic water to change water i will do that once a month, right now we work at the coast making a frame for the house, so i have more chances to get water from there, i think the project of the house will take us some time, this way i dont waist money for gas. to get water.

well here is my alge grows like crazy i'm tired of cuting it off, at list once in 3 weeks. and for you CCR it's not 2 reactors with phosphate, one of them is nitrates the other one is Phospate.

well from what i read and heard 50% of people say to use it and 50 to not so i decited to do a litte experiment i went to the Newport bay and took 15 gl of waster, will do some testing on it, make a small set up see what happens than, how fast will the system be rady. will post everything that happened.

Hello there. Few days ago i went to the ocean New Port. i tooks some water sample home from the logal beach, when i got home i tested for salinity,ph,calcium,KH,nitrates ect. and the results were folowing: Salinity 1.022 Calcium 440 ppm KH/Alc 12 dKH Magnesium 1360 Iodine concentration of 0.06/0.08 nitrates --- none Amonia 0.5 SO THE QUESTION IS CAN WE USE PACIFIC COAST OCEAN WATER //??????? SPECIALLY FOR THE BEGINNERS to start . Ocean is full of bacteria" good or bad??????? anyone????????????? well its something to think about for tonight, i'm going to zZzzZzzz long day tomorrow. Zzzzzzzzzz(whistle)

well i dont have alge growing but i dont wanna get one either I just hooke it up to my system in one reactor i have phosphate and the other one nitrates will see how it works, i will run it for few days see the result. will post if i notice anything different that happens in the aquarium.

well i think the title of the thread explains itself, some people say that using Phosban reactor is a bad idea because it makes the phosphates too low, and some corals need some say its' a good idea. Anyone have any facts, suggestions.....????? (scratch)
