  1. Ive been to your house for a club meeting and was very impressed with the beauty of your house and aquarium. Cant imagine what this place must of looked like for you to be impressed with it, must of been something. A Judge for an aquascaping contest, wow, that must of been so cool.
  2. Awww.. thats the secret. But maybe you should be taking your medicine instead LOL. Sorry, couldnt help it. I had a nice school of 7 for a few months, til the largest one started chasing the heck out of the next largest one. Ended up beating each one down and then the harrelquin tusk would finish them off. Now I only got 3 left. Plan on buying a few more now that I got rid of the harrelquin. I will get them smaller than the biggest one, see if that helps.
  3. Oh man, I would of loved to seen this in person. How people aquascape is my favorite thing to look at it in pictures.
  4. Went to Woody's (Seahorse) today and got a few fish for my tank. Fiinnnalllly a shop will have an display tank that is for angels!! FOWLR!! Woody is in the process of setting up a 300 gallon tank just for angels. I will enjoy going there to check it out and seeing what new angels he has added. Every one seems to think that I will 'graduate' to a reef tank sooner or later. Just what if Im mostly about the fish, especially the large angels? The colored sticks are pretty to look at, but only in someone elses tank. That came across harsh, I guess Im saying that if I had to choose, the fishies would win every time. Would love to a have a zoas tank again, had a 55 awhile back but got bored with it. Wish there was a forum about angels or other nonreef fish. There used to be people on this forum, or maybe it was another, that were into the fish more. Anyway, just wanted to let any angelfish people know, if they didnt already, that Woody is going to have a cool tank of angels. Uh oh, I think I might of just alerted the tang police, or should I say the angel police LOL. Side note, Woody had two plump nice looking powder blue tangs in. And a cleaner wrasse in almost every tank! Had to get me one of those since my harrelquin tusk just ate mine.
  5. My angels would thank me if I put those in my tank. LOL I used to have these in my tank, but the angels, especially the queens, love to eat them. I loved how they spread so quickly. Plus they do have movement to them. I was told they were button polyps when I had them. Im thinking about changing my little "Edge" tank to a zoas tank. If I do maybe I could get some from you then.
  6. The first saltwater fish I saw was the Queen Angel, fell in love with it right then and there. If I couldnt have a Queen Angel, I probably wouldnt keep tanks anymore. So.... thats my screen name.
  7. I am interested in the green star polyps. good luck with your new doggies Tammy
  8. Finally check out this place, had lots of really nice corals that I have no idea what the names were. Thats because Im more about the fish, angels. He had some gorgeous fish!! But what I couldnt walk away from was this perfect "bridge" piece of live rock. I couldnt believe it was only 3 dollars a pound!! Woo Hoo.. on top of that he let me have it for even a better deal than that. Worked on the tank for about 3 hours when I got home. I think my tank is complete (live rock part of it) Glad I finally checked this place out. Definately on my list of must sees. Tammy
  9. Thanks for the good trade today, the snails are all moving around. It was nice meeting you too. Tammy
  10. I stopped off at Rose City on the way back from Gresham. Wow!! I have never seen sponges of such nice colors before. I had fun looking at every tank 3 times. Some beautiful large naso tangs too. The biggest Koran Angel Ive seen in person too. I was looking for green star polyps. I wanted to buy a $10 piece, and he was nice enough to break a nice chunk of this larger rock. I'm so happy that my angels seem to leave the gsp alone. Weird, they eat all other kinds of polyps though. Anyways, just wanted to say Woot Woot to Nick!!
  11. Well, the hawk ate every bug in my refugium, should of never put him in there. Went to Rose City Aquarium today. Nick had a Falco Hawk, that I believe is the same one I have. Maybe there is several names for them, I dont know. Nick said that someone was just in yesterday to pick stuff up for Clay. Wish I knew about that sooner. Didnt realize you lived in Eugene, LOL. Havent heard from you, so thought I would bump this to the top again to see if maybe someone is heading up here this weekend that could pick this up for you or whatever.
  12. I havent seen a black one myself. Must of been pretty cool to see something you didnt know was there. I have small flashlights right on my aquarium stand, for the late night sneek-a-peaks. Wish I could have feather dusters, my large angels would never let them open unfortunately. Since your wife saw it first, I say its now hers. LOL
  13. If your still needing some, I have some you can have. Tammy
  14. I wouldnt mind some snails, all I have is chaeto and some kenya tree starts. Let me know, Tammy
  15. I certainly wanted to get rid of him before the meeting. I was trying to catch him with the bottle method. He was too smart for that, he would sit on the rim without going in and wait til the food got close to him. Did a water change, with the water down a bit, and alot of rock removed, I caught him. Dang thing is eating my bugs in the refugium now. Not too happy about that, ready to put him in my sump. Let me know when you want to come get this guy.
  16. I got him in my refugium for now. I will gladly hold him for you. Just let me know when your up here next to pick him up.
  17. Well, 15 people have look at this post, and no interest yet. I will also post this on craigslist.
  18. I finally caught this dang fish. Doing a water change, and while I had the water down 1/4 and some live rock taken out, I finally caught him. He's really quite an interesting fish to watch, its just that he wont let me add anything like lawnmower blennies or sand sifters. Im sure if he was added to a tank now, he would leave them alone. I could put him in the refugium for awhile but then he would eat all more bugs. He is pretty much free, but it would be cool to get maybe a little chunk of star polyps or something. Im pretty sure he is a freckled hawkfish or maybe speckled one, dont remember now. I have had him for at least a year. Let me know, Tammy 503-957-5625 Im off of the Terwilliger exit.
  19. At 10:45 am I left some nice prints on the glass of Amazing Aquarium. I saw the closed sign but thought dangit Im going to at least peek in the window to see what I was missing. When I had my nose pressed against the glass, not but two feet from the window was this older guy looking back. Scared me big time LOL. Didnt really want to hang around for over an hour, (I should say my husband didnt want to) so we headed home. If we get this job bid, we will be heading down there a few different Saturdays, so hopefully I can check out the places then. Thanks for all the suggestions.
  20. Thanks everyone!! I have been to Coral Reef awhile back. Actually I think I met CCR there to buy a balast. Jason was great company while I waited to hook up with CCR. Jason has a very cool nice shop. Maybe we will go there tomorrow after our walkthrough for a job bid. Problem is we will be done around 10ish probably and everyone is closed at that time. I really just wanted to "window shop" anyways. Hate to make an appt anywhere just for that. I could of sworn there was a shop in Albany everyone was talking about at one time. Tammy
  21. I need to take a trip down to Albany tomorrow. While Im down there, I would like to check out at least one shop. Tried to google it but didnt see anything. If anyone has a suggestion, would love to hear about it. Thanks, Tammy
  22. GSP Hi, I'm interested in some GSP. Let me know when it would be a good time for me to come by. Tammy 503-957-5625
  23. Thanks for the great great deals! Your tanks are awesome! I wish I had alot more money, I loved that big elephant bluey colored mushroom. Mmmmmm... will see if I can rob my husband of some. Would you take $30 for it? Thanks again, your tanks and home are beautiful.
  24. Star Polyps I would like to be second in line for the star polyps, also second in line for the larger orange ricordia. Thanks, Tammy 503-957-5625
