AFAIK the ones on Jodys site are the ones he has.

I'm not sure you would like these on a wavemaker. Mine if you plug them in they rattle pretty good on startup. Doing that over and over would be very annoying.

I dont know those other skimmers, but I really like my EuroReef. Plus you can find them pretty easily used for good prices. (not finicky to get going either.)

Anyone know if any LFS's in the Portland area carry "Rod's food"? Been reading about it online and it looks like a good all in one frozen food.
Kinda funny to see this post. I just ordered some from MarineDepot to try out.
I'll probably be ok for a bit but if you group an order together at least shipping wont be as bad.

I just got two #3's on my 90. So far happy with them, still debating the Vortech pump though.
Two of the #3's are 1300gph, the vortech is 3000. Quite a bit more money but what isnt in this hobby.

I love my six line. It has not bothered a thing in the tank that I know of. Everyone seems to get along just fine.
Same with mine. Doesn't bother anything. Guess you get some good and bad ones.

T5 and sps

I wish we had more sun, I'd do sonatubes. Thinking about it though for summer use/energy savings.

I have the EVC 10ks. They are bright with a hint of yellow. (Actinics on dont notice it) EVC 14ks were way too blue for me. I'm still looking for the right bulb I guess.

This person was gone on vacation, and a group of teenagers broke into the house and partied. The kids dumped something into the reef tank and killed everything :(
It is one thing for someone to kill a bunch of stuff because THEY do something stupid, but to have a bunch of drunk teens screw up a tank is totally sad. And the story about the dog locked in a room is unforgivable.
Sometimes I wonder why I even try to influence children. It does not seem to make a difference for some. (sad)
(flame)
Can't believe none of the parents stepped up and apologized for their kids actions.
I would go after each and every one of them in civil court. Would of been totally different if the parents would of stepped up and tried to make things right.

I wonder how long it takes before she violates the 40 day sentence of home arrest with the ankle device.

We use anpac for all our insurance. Nice thing with them is the rep is really cool, good rates and can insure lots of different things. Stay clean for 3 yrs and you get 25% back on your 4th yr. (My parents insurance this adds up to 4500 bucks on the 4th yr). Ive compared them to a few others and they are usually right in the ballpark price wise. I've had to deal with alot of agents over the yrs (business related) and she is by far the best. Like others we have our boats, houseboat, cars, homes etc thru them.

I personally dont like the BB look, and the no rock look is just worse. The ones that have done the fake sand are pretty cool though.

Prius wont exactly haul my boat, hell it would prob would cry the minute I hooked up to it. LOL
There are just things a hybrid wont be able to do for a very long time.
Ill stick to my truck.

Dual 250W DE 10k EVC electronic. Plan on adding two VHO actinics soon.

center punch and being careful you can get them to tighten up. As long as the clearances aren't too big. Just put maybe 5-6 dings in the plastic and that would tighten it up. (if its really loose then this will not work)

Sounds like a serious topic but uncontrolled laughter. heh

Had a turbofloater before. Currently have a used ER 6-1. Outperforms the TF by a long shot. Kinda set and forget also besides cleanings vs the TF seemed touchy IMO.
Of all the skimmers Ive owned I like the ER the best. (TF, RedSea, Tunze and a few others)
Thought about a MRC skimmer but decided I didnt want a beckett.

well these are breed and only in a tank with aiptastia so thats all they can eat' date=' i asure you they eat them. the reason why im wanting to do the nudi's s because they WILL eat them, thats all they eat, with shrimp on the other hand they can eat them if they feel like it or just pick off all your zoas. So with pepermints its really up in the air on those guys.[/quote']
Is this from the guy on RC? Thats how his were and the did nothing except die for me.

I have some flatworms in my fuge, but my main tank is clean of them so far. (6 or so months now) I'm pretty sure my sixline is keeping them clean from it.
I also would never use FWE again. I also lost two fish to that that were seemingly completely fine prior to it. A couple other fish got pretty [language filter] stressed out and took about a month to recover. Ill stick to my sixline.
-
I got those about a yr ago off a guy on ReefCentral that had been selling them to others. My success with them absolutely sucked. I ended up just getting a shrimp from Jody and that little guy took care of them all. At least with the shrimp it wont die once the job is done.

I guess he is selective. I said Id do the 660 but never heard ya or nah on it. Oh well, don't care at this point. lol

I'm hoping the vortechs go down in price or some group buy comes up.
