  1. Change in Plans. Tyree will not make it to Tri-Cities on July 17th and 18th. We will go another route with corals and clams. We wish him the best though. Instead it will be James Fartheree and Bob Fenner. Both Speakers have confirmed. More to come. I will try to keep you posted. thanks, Ed
  2. How have other corals reacted close by to this coral? I am wondering if its a type of anthellia (clove polyp)? Starburst is very aggresive to sps. Anthellia can curb tooth corals(galaxia).
  3. Michael, Years ago all the clubs tried to work together to meet at one spot once a year. Members from Tri-cities unloaded their fridges to make it a memorable meeting, we had a coral auction, two guest speakers and tank tour. I think it went well considering there were over a hundred people at meeting. This get together does not have to happen in Tri-cities. It was scheduled to take place in Tri-cities because no one else spoke up. Again the goal to bring everyone in the hobby together and build a good relationship with those sharing the same hobby. If Board Members of PNWMAS want to help out it would be appreciated greatly! I am still on the board in Seattle or PSAS. I live in Tri-Cities. I will talk to Spokane and Idaho and people from Montana. Again, any and all help appreciated. Thank you, Ed
  4. Hello everyone, I was just informed that the Midcolumbia Saltwater Marine Aquarium Conference would be held on the third week end of July of 2009. The two speakers are Steve Tyree and Bob Fenner. I will try to keep you informed as I am informed. I would love to see you in Tri-Cities for this get together. til then, Ed
  5. I want to say thank you for all that attended. Brandy and Bob, I did not get to talk to you very much. I want to and look forward to it. Ken, it was a pleasure. The first year the conference took place was in 2004. We had members (Presidents, Vice Presidents) of each club working together. Together is the key word. We all have a hobby we enjoy. We all like talking about it as a group. Cheri Thomas has talked about a conference out here in Pacific Northwest. It can happen with their help or with out their help. But remember if we all work as one. We are unstoppable. You guys still have me on cloud nine. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I want you to know, My friends that came into town on Friday had me up all night aquascaping my tank. My friends and I went to bed at 430 in morning. I got up at 5 to hook up my boat for a ride with Sanjay. Would I do it again? Hell yeah! Thank you for the awesome time. If you come to Tri-Cities again. Please look me up. Sincerely, Ed Hahn

He donated some corals for this event also. In return, the Website will also post The Coral Farmers Market as a sponsor for this event. I am betting the frags will be raffled. Again, good people working together to help each other. Its less than 200 miles for a lot of you. If you come, you will not regret it. In fact I bet you will return next year if you do. "Browned Out" SPS

Its often ideal for members to label which lighting(wattage, Kelvin of bulb), where coral was located in flow when trading. If you do not see this on bag please ask the person that is selling frag to explain. A coral will sometimes go into shock from transport (change) and take about 30 days to recover. I hope this helps, Ed
