  1. I can make one, I just need to know what size of box you want?
  2. Yes I do. Do you want 45 edges or rounded?
  3. I cannot claim that my success is also just from Prodobio. I'm using it in conjuction with Zeovit additives, weekly water changes, and very close monitoring of parameters. But I will say this much for it, it works very well for reducing the nitrates/phosates in your tank which will result in a lost of algae. Prodobio itself is not that expensive and in a small tank will last for a while and you only dose 1 a week with some and the every 2 weeks with others. Rich
  4. If Ryan doesn't want build one I could problably build one with the 1/4" scraps that I have left.
  5. You'll find a lot more info on RC about Prodobio. Check out this HUGE thread I only know of 1 other person locally using it and he is in the process of a house/tank move... Rich
  6. Not hard to build at all, just basiclly an acrylic box right. Seth, I thought you were selling your tank and stopping? Rich
  7. I don't think the eastside of Portland is that bad, I've lived over here for 8 years now and never had a problem. I had more on the West side of town. But it really all depends on what part of west or east side you live in. I started on the way west side (Hillsboro) and I've continued to move East, I really prefer the East side over the West especially with traffic. Sunset highway (26) is HORRIBLE and makes driving that way very long and hard...
  8. I have the screws now if you want a couple...
  9. I have to agree with Bob that NIN sucks and TOOL rocks. But I have to disagree with him on the Chili peppers, I'm so tired of them...
  10. Ouch yeah the taps are whats going to kill me. I found the plugs from a company online when I was looking for nylon thumbscrews and they gave me 4 as samples, now I just need the taps... Rich
  11. Well thats cool. New job or just travelling?
  12. I just bought an MRC (My Reef Creations) Nilsen Reactor and I'm very happy with it so far. But that said there are a few things I would change, it does not have a quick reef plug like the PM version does. I plan on adding one to it soon. Also the lack of communication from the guy at MRC was really annoying, it took 3 emails and 2 1/2 weeks to get the order. What I do like about the reactor over the PM version is the magnetic stir bar, the pump is just one more thing to break or leak and will need to be cleaned. Here are a couple more to consider. The GEO's are supposed to be good. http://www.geosreef.com/kalk_01.html Don't know anything about these but they are cheap. http://www.reeftek.com/Nilsen_Reactor.htm
  13. Seth, So why are you selling off your tank? Rich
  14. I took a look at the manual for the Comline skimmers and I was wrong they are not needlewheel pumps. They are a type of venturi but not like a normal venturi. They use a special system called a hydrofoamer, so I don't think you could compare it to a normal venturi/needle skimmer... So, far I'm very impressed with the skimmer its pulling a lot of junk out... Rich
  15. I can look through the manual tonight and see if there is a picture of the pump in there.
  16. The larger size screws are hard to find locally. I just order a whole bunch of the 10-32 1" screws which are usally the size that are used for acylic equipment. If you want a couple let me know. I should have them in a couple of days. Rich
  17. Excellent. So, is there a big difference between those 2 pumps for your closed loop? Rich
  18. H20cooled

    Acrylic fun...

    Ben, Looks good!
  19. No, I haven't had time to remove it and take it apart. It will be a while, most likely when I clean it. Rich
  20. WOW, that is a LOT of flow through your sump. Are you sure you really want that much? It will be really hard to control the micro bubble with that much going through there. As for the Dart I'm not sure but if it is a pressure rated pump you should be fine.
  21. Well its been running now for around 32 hours and I'm very happy with the junk that its pulling out. Also the skimmer has become dead silent, it would be perfect for a setup in your bedroom or somewhere that you didn't want to hear anything... Here are some pic from this morning... Rich
  22. When I took a look this morning is had a small amount of waste in the cup. I know that it usally takes a week or so to really get going I'll take some pics when it kicks in... Rich
  23. To be honest with you I have no idea, it is a venturi design but I'm not sure if it is using a needlewheel or not. But if I had to guess I would say it is.
  24. I just got this skimmer tonight for my 30g softy tank, I would have built my own but I have a really hard time making things small. So, after a bunch of reading I decided to get one of the Tunze skimmers. So, far I'm very impressed with the quality and the very small footprint (4.4" x 4.4"). It fit in my small 10g tank sump with no problem. As for noise after about an hour of running it is now dead quiet. Its still getting going so there isn't really any waste yet but from what I'm seeing it should do very good. So, here are a couple of pictures of the unit. Rich
  25. So you are quitting them, I wondered why you were selling everything off...
