Jay
I think my skimmer is a PCI skimmer and I think I need a new needlewheel pump. Which one to get and should it need the mesh mod? When I got the skimmer it was already mesh modded and it was skimming really nice. Dark thick skimmate by the cupfull daily. Ive had it since sometime last summer and now I think it needs a new pump. Which one to get? Jay

andy
I liked my mesh-modded Ocean Runner 2700. Quality is hit and miss though, some last forever and some die in a year or so. Mine was a miss.
Jay
WHICH SKIMMER IS IT' date='IS IT THE PS2000 6 INCH[/quote'] Im not sure. I will just take off the pump and see the model then buy the same one. It still works but it seems like I only get about half the foam anymore. I judge it by how far down the chamber the bubbles stackup and it used to go almost to the bottom of the chamber now its like halfway down and when I put my finger on the inlet of the pump it no longer feels strong suction like it was. Jay If spectra sees this post can you please tell me what model skimmer it is? I bought it from him last year. Jay
Isaac
Jay, you can't go wrong with a Sedra pin wheel pump.
