wegotjs
These were hitch-hikers on some rock I bought about a month ago. I am wondering what they are and if they are good or bad. I think they some sort of anenomaes. They are up to a dime size. They have split and spread some so I want to make sure they are ok. Thanks! JManrow
Kalkwasser(Calcium hydroxide) works great in Aiptasia, I wish it worked as well on Mojanos. Try "Joe's Juice". It's available at many LFS or online.
fly guy
Joes juice is a staple item that every reefer must have IMO.........
Lowman
Joe's is a quick fix alright, but I have had them come back with a vengence a few weeks after treating with Joe's. I personally inject them with a bit of cider vinegar right in the mouth, (you need to use a hypodermic needle) the ones I have injected have not come back. fly guy
Vinegar and lemon juice both work great, but it concerns me putting those things in my water. I have learned with joes juice to turn the current off completely and make sure you get enough on them that it looks like a glob completely covering their mouth and it works EVERY time. Nice thing about joes juice is if you turn the currnet off and can gently put it right next to them they think its food and eat it. Youvbe got to be a quick good shot with the needle, and a lot of times you end up sticking it through them and shooting the stuff on the other side of them....... I have whacked 50 of those things with joes juice before at one time and even though things like zoos will eat it and look sick for days if you mess up and get a bunch of it on them........they always come out of it. Just be careful if you have other anemones....
