Lowman
I found this guy on the glass in my refugium. It's not a nudibrach, and has a probiscus like a nassarius snail. But it has all of these spiky things on it. I've never seen one of these before. Maybe you guys can help..........
dsoz
Does it have a shell? Can you get a picture of the dorsal side and another from the side. Maybe one head-on. dsoz
Lowman
It would be difficult to get those pics. My refugium is under the monstousity of tank. It has a mouth like a snail and moves like one. I've just never seen one with the spiky back before. And now it has disappeared into the rock and macro.
Michael7979
Are the spikes hard or soft? No idea really but hope to find out.

ThePremiumAquarium
Money Cowries' date=' [i']Cypraea moneta[/i] dont have spikes on their shells. When they are mowing down algaes they often have a mantel that sort of shrouds their shell. This has small spike like soft protrusions all over it. The shell that you see and that is posted in the picture is when their shells are fully exposed. Most of the time this is when they are at rest. Intersting little guys. Garrett Found a decent pic of what I am refering to only this guy has smaller "spike like protrusions":
