siskiou Posted September 22, 2008 Share Posted September 22, 2008 So, I've been trying to get my ozone equipment set up again (it used to work just fine), and for some reason the ORP drops like a rock when I turn it on now. I measured the output of the ozone reactor and the numbers keep getting lower and lower. Normal ORP in my tank is high 200s, low 300s, depending on pH. I can't figure out what could be going on. The ozone generator is definitely producing ozone and it's getting into the reactor. Am running the output through a carbon filled phosban reactor. I have a check valve between the ozonizer and the reactor, to prevent back siphon, and my valves keep breaking after just a couple of days, even though they are supposed to be ozone resistant, but I don't think that could be the reason.
