R-3
I gotta patch those holes on my sump so I can wet-test the tank and was wondering who carries Weld-On products in the southern Willamete Valley area. I used to buy it in Corvallis but it has gotten really expensive. Does anyone buy it online? Thanks in advance. Later Ryan
reef-fisher
What are you looking for? I have some #16 left over if you want it. Jason at CRPC usually has it as well.
R-3
Jason carries it? Cool. I need some 16 and 4. I first wanna apply the 4 to get a good seam and then go around with 16. Is that not necessary? Ive never actually patched acrylic so just kinda shooting in the dark. It seems like it would work to me. reef-fisher
Ive used 16 to build some small stuff. Great adhesion and easy to work with. Kinda like pvc or crazy glue. I think it would work well for patching.
Michael7979
Hey Ryan- I got some 16 if you wanna come get it. Tap Plastic sells it too. At least the one in Tualitin/Tigard does.
R-3
Hey guys I got some Weldon 4 from Rey and decided to give that a shot for now. It seemed to work really well and setup fast. I just applied it about a hour ago and was wondering what you guys though was the soonest to wet-test it. I was thinking like 48hrs. Anyone know for sure? Michael7979
I waited about 24-30hrs. on the hole I patched. It held fine. Atleast wait until tommorrow. My tube of Weldon 16 says "24hrs."
R-3
Yeah the 4 said 24-48. It also said the bond got stronger as the week progressed?? I might wait then, probably not though Later Ryan
