coralreefaquarist Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 so i made a trip over to yaquina bay this weekend. its known to have the best of the 3 tidalzones for how easy it is to acess. its at yaquina bay lighthouse twords the end of newport. ive never been to tese tidepools before and i must say they are one worth visiting. i went about an hour before lowtide and hung out till it started comeing back in about 2 hours later. it costs 7 bucks to get in for the day but worth it.i had never seen urchins before or fish among other things(clap).gret place to tack the kids too. impur Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Great pics. Been there a few times, great place to wander around for a few hours at low tide. Quote
biomekanic Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 I could almost smell the low tide... Yum, it is just like skimmate. dsoz You should try the Chesapeake Bay at low tide... it's eye-bleedingly bad. Nice pics! I like the tide pools at Strawberry Hill, plus, they're free to get into. I had to go to the coast for work yesterday, Florence then Newport. Figured that it would be socked in the entire drive. :( Quote
