One with an external pump between the containers and.other put the pump inside the water container. Does anyone know if one way is better than the other, or is it just preference? jtarmitage Posted August 14, 2023 Share Posted August 14, 2023 Short answer, internal is only good for pumping from 1 container to the other, and pump is more difficult to clean. An external pump can be set up for transferring to the 2nd container, mixing the salt water, and transferring mixed water to the tank.
