Its_cchan
Quick question everyone. I notice that in the past month my Nitrates started to slowly creep up. It was @ 1 PPM but now it’s @ 12 PPM. Nitrite and Ammonia @ 0, no change here Phosphate @ 0.1 PPM, no change here. My corals are doing fine, even starting to get more color. Should I be concerned that my nitrates keep increasing? What are you parameters levels @? Anyone have a Nitrate level higher than 12 PPM?
pdxmonkeyboy
If you have sps then i would be much more concrened about your phosphate readings. You don't want to be above .1 and ideally, you dont want to be above .05. If your nitrates get to 20 then i would start dosing vinegar (if you have a big tank) or doing more aggressive water changes if you have a smaller system.
