Weir solution

So I've got this 29g going and it's going well, though I'm taking it slow. I finally got a little goby who's been in there a couple times, but he seems to have a habit of going over the weir...any ideas?

can't figure out how to edit posts still...but I meant to say the goby's been in there for a couple months.  I found him in the sump area once and just before I posted this, I found him on the filter floss over the GHA fuge.

You can buy tops for overflows.

Gutter guard has smaller holes he won't be able to fit through.

 

Hard to tell from the pics but are you using the egg crate for a overflow cover or weir teeth?

I can see now that you are using the egg crate as a tank cover.

This stuff here.. flexible, make a cover or make some "teeth" by cutting the right sized strip and attach it to your overflow however you seem fit. few small dabs of superglue would work in a pinch.

 

This is something you can do at Home Depot until you can find a more permanent solution.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Edit:

 

I see now from the 1st pic. If you were to cut a small strip and fold it into a "U" and stick it in your box it could serve as a cover and teeth keeping the little guy in the tank where he's safe

+1 for what ChrisQ suggested. I had that same mesh in my old hang on the back overflow. Kept everything out, but the water
