matty
I have this ATI led X2 over my 50g tank, the light is awesome and puts out a ton of light but is way over kill for my softies and fish. I would like to trade for a 4 or 6 bulb ATI T5 fixture. I'm not in any hurry, the light is doing great, I just like the look of T5's and figured I would throw this out there. I would also sell the fixture to buy a new T5, pm me with any questions or offers. Thanks! Here is a pic I took a few days ago. Lexinverts
How do you like the color from that ATI LED? I've been intrigued by them since I saw them at Ocean In a Box. How does it compare to that LED you had before? Didn't you have an AI Prime, or something like that?
matty
The honest truth is I love the light, more than any other LED I have owned. I've had Radion's, Ai prime, max spect razor, and a Nanobox unit, this ATI has better color and no disco effect. The big downside for me is the controllability. If ATI world abandon the platform they currently use or even make it wifi ready with a different interface, I think they could be a bigger player in LED units. You can't use a Mac and have to plug a cord into a computer or laptop. The interface is ok and based on their T5 bulbs but if you try to use the controls on the light itself, forget it! I like the color of T5's more than any other light and this comes the closest I've seen to mimicking the colors of T5's, but it still has some of the shadowing associated with led's that you don't get with T5's. Lexinverts
That's what intrigues me about these lights. You'd think ATI would have really high standards when it comes to matching the color and blending of T5s with LEDs. Thanks.
matty
You can program each channel as a bulb type, like Blue+, Coral+, etc. it's very cool.
wmcbane200
How much do these go for? I'm going to be looking into lights sometime soon and I'm thinking of sticking with LED's. I've been going back and forth tho. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
