irshprncsk
Well, I've been posting for a while and realized I'd never introduced my tank formally. So here's what I have: 16 gallon bow Seachem black aragonite substrate (2.5"), about 15 pounds of live rock Filtration: Prizm skimmer with rubble in the final chamber of the skimmer to increase biofiltration. Also has an Aquaclear 50 with double biomedia and no carbon, with Aquaclear surface skimmer attachment to remove that icky surface skum. Lighting: Coralife Aqualight 96w 50/50 compact fluorescents, little blue moonlight Average temperature is about 76-78F Fish: Fionnuala, a B&W ocellaris clown Finnegan, 6 line wrasse Stripey Goby, a Priolepis nocturna (variance in common names) goby A Rainfordi Goby A Tangaroa Goby Inverts: 1 Fighting Conch that almost has the tank clear of hair algae - the Rainfordi wasn't working fast enough 1 Peppermint Shrimp that has successfully cleared all my aiptasia - I had hundreds! 1 Cleaner Shrimp 1 green Pistol Shrimp that still scares me at night 1 Fromia red star A tubeworm that has managed to survive shedding his fan twice; plus those tiny red or white ones in the LR Several green oysters that randomly came on my LR 1 Halloween Hermit 2 Scarlet Hermits 4 Blue Hermits 1 Hairy Hermit that snuck in with the blue hermits, but he's behaving so far Several black tegulas, Astreas, three Nassarius, a Bumblebee, and two Nerite snails Corals/inverts: 5! BTA all from the same original anemone 6 Aggregating Anemones from the coast 1 Orange sun coral and 1 black sun coral 1 clear sun coral that was under the orange sun coral and outgrew it, continues to proliferate - though you can't see it very well! Green mouth/rim pink zoas Red mouth/rim pink zoas Anthelia polyps Green Star Polyps Purple bullseye mushrooms (Rhodactis) 1 red/green spotted mushroom 1 blue/purple spotted mushroom 1 pink/neon green ricordea 1 blue/purple w/green mouth ricordea 2 Torch corals 1 Maze Brain Coral (Platygyra?) Lots of caleurpa It sounds like a lot but it works very well - with the skimmer on there I hardly get any nitrates and I can get away with monthly partial H2O changes. Pics to come. No time to upload now. Kat
dsoz
If it works, then it works. Now how about some pictures! I want to see those 5 anemones! How does your clown know which one to host? Does it act like a kid in a candy factory, jumping from one to another? Or does it host any of them? dsoz
