  1. I will be heading to Portland next week (Tuesday/Wednesday) and am willing to sell a few of my extra frags: 1 colony of anthelia, about 25 polyps and always growing $30 GSP, NEON green, frag of your size choice $15/quarter size frag Small (bigger than a quarter) size neon green/pink ricordea, prolific, $25/polyp Sorry for the bad pics. I'll post more this week. Also, may have a delay on response since our home internet has gone away and I have to walk to a public source after work.
  2. Would love to pick this up next week...will be coming to Portland on Monday night (late) from Eugene and staying for 2 days while my partner takes the BAR exam. Can bring ca$h! REALLY WANT IT!(scary)
  3. Actually, I recently stopped there for crickets and took a look thru the store, and their reptiles were all well fed and had proper equipment, and the fish were all pretty decent, except for the large discus tank - they had one of the worst Costia infections I'd seen, but that's really hard to kick (I recently figured out this was what had been plaguing my discus for 2 years with odd symptoms). I picked up a SWEET piece of LR with some hefty coralline. They also had some nice clams and frags. Of course I had to grit my teeth at the rabbit in a 20g size cage eating peanuts and seeds with no hay, pellets, or veggies. ARRRR. But most people don't know how to care for rabbits properly anyway...just irks me that this is perpetuating the stereotypical horrid setup.

    Zoos!!!

I wish a lot of these pics were posted to ZoaId - some of the pics on there are kinda blurry and these rock! I'm looking for tiny frags (3-5 polyp) of Blue Orgasim, BlueBerries, Darth Maul, Grateful Dead, Piercing Teal, Rad. Dragon Eye, or Tub's Blues. I have Wham'n Watermelon, Neon Eyes, Green Bay Packers, a red I can't find on the site, another red with a yellow X in the center, and a Cammiethoa that has yet to split. Pics to come once they wake up.
  5. I caught the pods on the coast while I was there this weekend, also for my mandarin. I have 2 CB black clowns already, thanks.
  6. I recently got a nice population of pods and would like a starter culture of phytoplankton to keep them going. Would like to spend less than $15 or trade for anthelia or GSP. Thanks!
  7. I'm very glad he's doing better. I recently changed the bulb in my tank and added another actinic fixture - it made a HUGE difference. I think he just wasn't getting the right light in my tank. Hopefully he'll fill back out again. It liked to eat brine shrimp, don't know if you tried that, or cyclopeze
  8. I grew up on the south side of Chicago, and have visited the Shedd Aquarium a couple times. The last time I was home I went again and can definitely say OCA can't hold a candle to the Shedd. They have over 500 different tanks separated by region of the world and also have beluga whales, pacific white-sided dolphins, walruses, penguins, and otters. There are shows several times a day for the whales and dolphins. When you first walk in there is a huge circular reef tank in the middle of the building, where divers feed the occupants several times a day. There's also an exhibit with Komodo Dragons. There's a new wing I didn't go into - it cost extra - called the Wild Reef, which is like the shark display at OCA, but also has a mangrove and coral area. There are so many different exhibits, it is a full day event, for sure. Check out their website: http://www.sheddaquarium.org/ you can do a virtual tour of almost all the exhibits. If you're passing thru Chicago, it's a must see. Another thing to check out there - Brookfield Zoo. Puts the San Diego Zoo to shame. http://www.brookfieldzoo.org/
  9. I sold a couple of these here a while ago - well one split again and now they're wandering the tank. About 3". See pics of mother below. Asking $20.
  10. My partner has S.A.D. and this year it's pretty bad already. Looking for a full MH setup with ballast, reflectors, and bulb. Burn time on the bulb and ballast not important since I won't be using it for my reef. Only have $100-150 to work with. PM me with what you have.
  11. My Green BTA just split again about 2 weeks ago- I sold 3 of these a while back from the same mother - and I'd be willing to sell one if you're interested. I have a 16g nano so a LTA wouldn't work in there. This is not the actual anemone you'd be getting but it is a clone. The second pic is how awesome they glow in moonlights. Let me know.
  12. Good luck with him, Siskiou! I hope he comes around!
  13. If anyone is headed to Portland and can bring me back one I'd be in for that.
  14. I'm debating putting a canister on my 55 FW discus/plant tank. I've used the Eheims on discus before, they work ok, but they aren't the easiest to clean. What's you opinion on them for planted tanks with heavy waste loads and how big a tank was it on?
  15. Sorry, my wireless has not been working for the last 2 days - had to find a hotspot to check this. I'll be home this week after 7 pm. I've replied to one PM so hopefully he'll get that home. I'll post again if he's available.
  16. For those familiar with UO, I live on the southeast side of campus on Columbia. PM for address. I should be home tomorrow (Tuesday) after 7 pm for anyone that wants to come get him. I think he has receded a bit more but not much. The barnacle is still alive. Kat
  17. I recently lost a couple fish to mean hermits and now have room for another B&W clown - hoping to pair up with my current clown. Would have to be quite small to avoid too much fighting. I'm in Eugene. Thanks.
  18. Ok, I will take $7... please save him!
  19. bump. Want to get this guy to a better home please. Will take $15.
  20. Here are some pics. Yes, I know the anemone is not helping the situation, but I can't get under him to scrape him off and move him without breaking the epoxy that's holding the brain on.
  21. I have a Favia Brain that has the potential to be wonderful, it was wonderful when I got it, but it is slowly dying in my tank. I think I just don't have enough light for it. It has a tiny barnacle that lives in it and I love him, so I hope he makes the journey to a new tank. The color of this guy is pretty good and he does glow under a moonlight. Since the tissue has receded about 50% on this guy but he is definitely savable and an awesome shape (1/2 a tennis ball) I'd like to get $20 for him if I can. I will post pics when I can. I'm also going on vacation next week so I may be hard to get ahold of.
