JManrow
it is rolling over the over the over flow pumps? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yes, that is fine. You want to create a strong current.
JManrow
Place the top of the powerheads just about an inch below the water surface. Pointed across the tank, and just barely upwards. JManrow
Can you also direct the flow from your overflow pumps? Direct them the same direction as much as you can too.
JManrow
The water has to go somewhere... so it will flow down to the bottom of the tank (on the other side of the tank), back across the other direction, and back up beneath the powerheads. I am trying to make it as clear and simple as possible for you.

Saltwater newbie
Your sand looks to fine for 2 power heads that big.
JManrow
Ok what lvl should I put them on? And what mode? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I have 3 similar powerheads at the upper level of my tank and the sand is fine. I have the same type sand as you and it is not blowing around. I would try high mode first, and itf that is too much, turn it down. Edited February 13, 2015 by JManrow

Mitrillion
The water rolls on top of water and makes water splashes that can be annoying? Any way to fix this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JManrow
Direct the water flow down a little or use earplugs. Personally, I just turn up the music.
