Trenton Henderson
I know we put garlic extract in our fish food, but could u DIY that? I don't want to test without insight, but what if you fit garlic powder in boiling water and make it yourself? I know this sounds far fetched, but could it work? JManrow
It seems a lot of people are adding garlic in many forms, including powder to their home mixes. I read that Denver Aquarium adds garlic powder to all their fish foods. I'm not sure of boiling it though. I would think the powder being already processed enough as it is, should just be added to the mix.
Trenton Henderson
So it would be fine to just add a tiny bit of powder to my shrimp?
Blue Z Reef
I use to take a jar of minced garlic and use a syringe to suck out the juice. If top it off with a bit more water when done and do it again next time. I wouldn't worry too much about feeding garlic 24/7, some recent studies showed it was actually bad in the long run for the fish. I don't bother anymore unless it's part of a pellet food and my fish have no issues and crazy appetites!
