coralheaven425
I was just wondering what your thoughts are about a HOB refugium I don't have room for a regular one and so I was thinking of getting one. I also would like to know what kind of cycle it would start? I plan on using miracle mud, I have a 75 gallon tank. Thanks for the replies. PowderBlue
They seem to work well from my experience, used one on a 90 gallon that I didn't want to make another sump for. Not sure on the cycle issue tho, I didn't notice anything on mine. But I was in the middle of a diatom bloom lol
coralheaven425
thanks good to know I was kind of thinking that it wouldn't have to much of an effect on 75 gallon tank but wanted to make sure.
Derbird
They work just fine. I don't know anything about the miricle mud and if it would have a cycle to it or not but if you use cycled live rock you shouldn't see a new cycle from it. The fuge its self will grow a bit of extra algea on it but no cycle
pledosophy
IME I have not seen a cycle when installing a CPR Large HOB refugium on a 44g tank.
don_chuwish
Me neither. Trying a DSB in my large CPR Aquafuge PS. Got it used. Splurged on a FugeRay for the light and love it. - D
