Jeffreyg Posted October 4, 2012 Share Posted October 4, 2012 It sounds brutal but I sliced the heads of and dropped them in the softie tank then hit the base with a torch . No algae bloom yet so I think I'm good . One rock I couldn't remove has two nems on it so I glued a frag of zoas on it . Now I'm good to go .. Hopefully get the nano set up so the nems will be out soon as well . I kick myself for wanting a mixed reef it allows for a lot to go wrong in the future . I think the sps bug has bit me !! Thats odd in my tank its the opposit. The shrooms will overtake the zoa's and smother or sting them to death. My shrooms might just be jerks though. ReeFit Posted October 7, 2012 Share Posted October 7, 2012 typically most mushrooms will overpower zoas. paly's can take out some of the weaker mushroom species. it depends on the species. there are lots of zoas we struggle with just to keep from melting, let alone getting touched by anything else in the tank.
