(flame) So before I bought my clown goby I looked into the reef safe compatability of them and did find that would in attempts at breeding lay their eggs on acroporas or other sps which can be can cause some tissue loss. How ever no where did I ever read that they will feed on the feeder tenticals of LPS!!!!! I have a small yellow clown gobby who has killed my babies breath favia and almost wiped out one of my favorite purple acans!!!! Who knew that these cool little fish could be such a(censored) Has any one else had this problem? Or is mine just special!!!! (flame)

Sounds like you might just have a trouble maker on your hands. LOL

Yes I got a clown goby for free from someone because it was causing damage to his sps. It was fine in my zoa dominated frag tank. They can also cause damage by sitting on the sps. They are easy to catch though. Get a siphon and suck him right into a bucket. No harm and not much stress to the fish either. :)

The condemed has been exonerated! I found the answer to my problem with the yellow clown goby. He is a she and she is laying eggs. Which explains the nipping of the corals she is trying to clear the path to lay her eggs. I actually wittnessed it happening was really cool to watch. SO I here by revoke her life sentance to the sump and change her name from Tom to Kit (any one who has read dragon lance will know who that is and yes I am a geek and proud of it =)
