Algae Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Here is my daughter, Harvest Amanda's first tank! She is 7, soon to be 8 and wanted a tank that she was the principal owner. It was a "teaching moment". We talked about supporting independent LFS's and the service and knowledge you receive. About overstocking and sustainability and how to fishless cycle. She helped with everything! She also choose the decoration. I was surprised. The "volcano" pictured is very subdued to what is out there. This is a girl that goes into a hypnotic state when she sees sparkles or sequins! Took all of 4 hours. Getting ready to cycle, etc! Love doing thing with my kiddo and we may have a new young convert??
Gabe Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Sweet. That looks like a fun project for you guys. I can't wait till the boys are old enough to do similar.
Jeramy Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Thats so cool Good work kido. I love to hear stories like this one. Keep up the good work. =)
wanareef Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 You're gonna to need more room when he boys get their own tank - and everyone upgrades at once DOH! looking great
Islandoftiki Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Very well done, my next freshwater tank will be an Edge like that. Such a nice looking tank. I highly recommend dwarf freshwater shrimp, they're tons of fun to watch and extremely low bioload, and easy to care for.
