CCR
AN under water house. I would like A 8'x30''x30'' but I'm setting up a 210 6'x29''H24''d
oldbrownies
I prefer tanks with a square side, so if its 21" tall its 21" from front to back, like the 120s that are 48*24*24, and not like 55s that are only 13.5 inches from front to back thats really annoying. Oh and glass, acrylic is WAY too easy to scratch.
tidalsculpin
Square seems to be en vogue. I guess the ability to see all the tanks inhabitants causes this. My dream tank is shaped like a peninsula. I'd like to be able to walk up to three sides of the tank and view from different perspectives. Not tooo high, maybe 24 inches, but long. Say 84 inches -36 inch front -84 inches side -54 inch overflow wall to the filtration built into the wall.
reefgeek84
Cubes...48x48x26... and in the center of the room with a center overflow so you can walk all the way around the tank...Acrylic is my preferred choice, less chance of breaking, lighter and clearer, if you are careful, then scratches are almost non existent. andy
I really like the 1/2-cubes too, 3' x 3' x 2' seems ideal. Glass.
Chief
My tank is a 8' X 2' X 2'. I would have preferred a 8' X 4' X 2'. A 4 foot deep tank would be awesome. I salivate thinking about the aquascaping possibilities. Of course buying all the live rock would make me pucker a little. It was hard enough filling a 240 gallon tank with 500 lbs of live rock. We are going to pick up a 2 foot cube tank this weekend for a softie tank. My wifes Zoa's have been living in the sump for a few months. I like the look of the cubes.
