light scratches on tank/help

Its not hard to do...you just need the right sandpaper and to follow some simple directions. Look for Micro-mesh products or online you can go to Everclear Transparency Solutions and buy a kit.

 

If the scratches are very small, you might even be able to get a liquid buffing compound that will do what you need. The nice thing about the waterproof sandpaper pads that come with the kit is that they can safely be used inside a stocked tank.....the buffing compound cannot

They work, but it takes a lot of elbow grease and patience.

I did the inside and outside front of my previous 40G and man, did it take a long time to get through all the different sandpapers!

Seeing how terribly scratched it looked after starting with the coarsest grain, I thought I had made a major mistake, but it did look much better than before once I was done.
