fly guy Posted February 24, 2007 Share Posted February 24, 2007 Its not hard to do...you just need the right sandpaper and to follow some simple directions. Look for Micro-mesh products or online you can go to Everclear Transparency Solutions and buy a kit. If the scratches are very small, you might even be able to get a liquid buffing compound that will do what you need. The nice thing about the waterproof sandpaper pads that come with the kit is that they can safely be used inside a stocked tank.....the buffing compound cannot Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

siskiou Posted February 24, 2007 Share Posted February 24, 2007 They work, but it takes a lot of elbow grease and patience. I did the inside and outside front of my previous 40G and man, did it take a long time to get through all the different sandpapers! Seeing how terribly scratched it looked after starting with the coarsest grain, I thought I had made a major mistake, but it did look much better than before once I was done.
