TheGooseWhisperer
IMO CUs in general are better than big chains, but downside is fewer locations for ATMs/tellers.
Emerald525
bank of america sucked. Very bad customer service and high fees. I like Onpoint Credit Union but yes downside is less places to go and less atms.
PeteRock
I work for a big one and they are terrible. To their customers and employees. Go with a local Credit Union.

Bigjohnwoody
Sweet thing about most credit unions is the credit union co op. You can use any ATM from any credit union that is part of the co op, and there is no fees for using the ATM.
Emerald525
I haven't experienced either of those with BofA. I also like West Coast Bank. What is Bofa? With Bank of America, someone had somehow got my atm number ( I still had the card) and cleaned out my checkign account. I noticed before they did and called them. 2 days later I noticed that my saving's account was cleaned out too and they never cancelled the card and had to nerve to ask me why I had not notified them sooner and then were not going to replace the money quickly. After that I was done with that bank.
