Smellsfishy
Anybody have experience and opinions on glass-holes overflow kits? Are there other kits to consider? This 72gal I'm refurbishing is setup with a hob overflow, but I'm thinking it may be worth upgrading to an internal overflow.... Thoughts? This decision will affect the design of the rock wall I want to build, and the final design of the closed loop plumbing. Thx!
Emerald525
We put a gl*******s overflow in our new sps tank. Our last tank had a hob overflow and twice it clogged and almost flooded so my vote is drill if u can.

tanktop74
Yes, as kim said, the kit is great! We have the dart in our 150. I know a friend that put the 1500 over flow in theeir 90 gal tank. If you order let me know, I want to get the cover for the dart one, they cut down on algea growth in the overflow. Beth
divinedragon13
also for a off the wall style is use a pump at top of the tank if u loss power u can't flood the water just stop since there no sipon great way do it on tanks that take a lot have drilled or plans that makes drilling a bad option but bad is with a sump/refugium takes two pumps :(
Smellsfishy
Yeah, the more i read-up on closed loop design, the more nervous I get about potential flooding with an HOB overflow. The Glass-hole looks pretty good. Hrd to find any bad reviews. Drilling the tank will be stressful.... Lol. Beth, il let you know if I order one. We can get you that cover thrown in. So, are there any other retrofit overflow kits out there? Thanks!
