cschwarz
i have been eyeing cuttlefish for some time and here is a great deal on some! i am thinking about getting a few for my refugium. what do you think? maybe a group buy? http://www.oceanproaquatics.com/shop/dwarf-cuttlefish-baby-tank-raised-p-19793.html
defigart
Before the Cephalopod police get here, I just want to make sure you know a few things about Cuttlefish. Their expected live expectancy in the wild is 1 year. So you may see a bit longer in captivity. Most Cephalopods die after spawning. There are a few exceptions, but these aren't one of them. Finally, Cephalopods are very smart, some even being able to solve and remember the solution to problems that have several steps. Thankfully Cuttlefish aren't Octopi, so you dont have to worry about them climbing out of the tank because the bundle of cords looks like a nicer home then the tank. Thats great. I just hate when people learn the hard way. There is always a learning curve between the book, and the tank, but its always best to minimize it. ShaunMonahan
I may be interested in a few of those too. I seem to remember someone locally producing captive cuttlefish, but it's been a while... Anyone know the "guy" I am talking about??? He lived in SE Portland??? LMK if you are going to pursue this further cschwarz
