cellowithgills
I can't believe what I just did. I was doing a water change, and what i do cut the flow off to the tank, then suck water out from the tank with a hose. I've never had a problem with this before, but tonight I wasn't paying attention because the cat was trying to investigate what I was doing, I a dragged the hose over my hammer coral!!! I looked up just in time to see the polyps retracting. It looks like some of the tentacles burst. What can I expect to see happening to it now? Should I do another water change? Will those heads be ok?
Gill
Sounds like a wait and see scenario to me.
Emerald525
Yeah, I would just leave it alone. A water change isn't going to help trauma.

Emerald525
It looks like it is recovering nicely. Don't beat yourself up by the way. We have all made silly mistakes in this hobby. I think there was even a thread about it LOL!.

ReeFit
i drag mine around all the time, they hit the sand, frogspawns and hammers are pretty tough when it comes to handling and they recover quickly, looks like its going to be just fine.
