fathertime
So my Open Brain is starting to worry me. I have never seen it actually eat at big chunk of fleshy food. What should I be doing to it and what should I be feeding it? I try to target feed it brine shrimp, misis, krill, and I'm trying tonight with a quarter of a silverside. I dont want to loose this beauty.
undrtkr_00
Does it look like this? Sorry, couldn't resist. If it is getting light, it may not need to be fed. Do you see it extending feeders?
Emerald525
OHhhhh that's bad! LOL! I have never seen our open brain take in actual chunks of food and it does great. I just add oyster feast, reef chili at times, etc to the water.
andy
When you say Open Brain, what do you mean? Both Lobophyllia and Trachyphyllia should take small to medium-sized foods (brine shrimp to mysis sized).
Kung Fu Spider Crab
I've only had mine for a month and seems to like the Rods I put in and the DT's. The silverside I've given him usually seems to work best when the feeders are out. I have to do a little policing to keep the other fish away from stealing it though. It seems to take the silver fine in the afternoon when I've fed everything else. Shrinks up too much to give him something at night. That is what I'm doing, so it could be all wrong. fathertime
Thanks guys, yeah he liked the silver side and I'l try some oyster feast. I hear you on policing the other fish though. I litterally have to keep the nosaria snails away until its done eating.
