WTB or trade for refugium light

Just seeing what people had that I might be able to buy or trade for. I know I can go to home depot and get one. What are people using as far as bulbs and fixtures in their tanks as well.

I just use a 'clamp-on' light that you can get at HD, Lowe's, or a hardware store.

So I say go to HD or Lowe's and get something new not used. Probably cheaper too.

I am using a Coralife 2x96w PC fixture. I am only running one 10k bulb that is at least 2 years old. I have a new one that I can put in and run 2 bulbs but it seems like a lot of work to make something brighter (use more electricity) when one bulb works just fine.

 

I think I bought the fixture for like $20 used. Getting a new fixture with a spiral bulb from HD would probably be cheaper.

I'm using a clamp-on and also a led strip (you can find it at Freds for about $20).

With a little more $ you can buy a led "bulb" with 3 to 7 leds at HD or similar.

I was reading about good results with no heat and more lifespan...

Mine was a dicarded home fixture with a ballast and 2 26watt spiral square pin bulbs but I only use 1 cause the other burned out and I procratinate

I use 2 outdoor fixtures I picked up for cheap at the drugstore. These are mounted above the sump. For bulbs I use daylight spiral bulbs (26w 6500k).
