Inland DFS100 Diamond Bandsaw in Action!

I know I know. Its be over a month since I posted anything about my new toy. Finally today a month after getting it I finally got to frag something. All I gotta say is WOW! It was like cuttin butter. You can cut out single heads if you want to. The control is very precise and its does a great job cutting. You dont rip all the flesh apart which in turn make recovery time quick!

My first victim was a green/purple Acan colony. I just wanted to get a feel for it so I just busted it up into a couple pieces. Here are some pics.

Here she is. Ready to go!

Ha ha thats true Mike. Im gonna be doing some major hackin this week. Maybe make up some Acan frag packs for peeps.

nice cuts. How much did the bandsaw cost? I may need to get me one of them. :)

dsoz

They range anywhere from 200-300 depending on where ya get em. The also make this version with a metal table that is a little cheaper. The new all plastic one is nice!

Lookin good Ryan!!

Thanks Steve! You ready for that green slimer frag yet?

Not yet, going to have to do a tear down and start over still cant get any staggs to grow. I think its time for a new set up...(whistle). we have been doing some remodeling and I think I have a way to incorporate a tank room and new tank if I play my cards right.

It's goin, I finally, me an my [language filter] temper, got the friggin black box off it tonight, managed to literally rip it out LOL. I gotta get my hands on a couple of ball valves, once I do that and get them in place, I think the noise issues will be a thing of the past, and once that's done, well, I'll be transfering my corals over, since thats the only thing keepin me from puttin my corals in the tank lol.

You bring that to Doug's and i'd be happy to donate :D

Sounds good Miles :)

The ones I just cut are looking great. I looked at the frags and the minimal nick or two are pretty much healed. Its nice to be able to cut something up and not worry about ripping the coral apart.

Im gonna do some more fragging tonight and will have some pics up tonight or tomorrow of the new ones!

I'm on my third saw the first 2 worn out due to salt but I have there new reef version one so we will see how it does but I got about a year out of each saw so no complaints it is a great fragging tool you'll love it.

Yeah its workin great. I talked to a couple online vendors that use these and they pretty much said the same thing as you Jody. They get about a year outta them with how much cutting they do. It definitely does makes fraggin a lot easier!
