I did some redecorating today, and am happy with the new look. I am still waiting for BRS to get in more pukani dry rock, so I can finish the aquascaping. I plan on doing mainly SPS and select LPS, but we all know how plans work in this hobby... :]

P.S. I am looking for small, single headed frags or polyps of brightly colored coral. PM me what you have if you are in the Eugene area.

I was fiddling in my tank today and realized that one of my Candy Canes is growing another head, that two of my shrooms had split, and my Acan grew another head! I am in a very good mood today. Also did a water test and I have 560ppm calcium (a bit high), 11 DKH, 8.3 pH, and 0 Nitrates!

I have a 40breeder, AquaticLife 4-bulb t-5's, a 29g sump with a CoraLife SuperSkimmer 65, and a QuietOne 4000 as my return pump. I have a Koralia 2 and a Koralia 1 for flow in my tank. I am working on a DIY Carbon/GFO reactor and awaiting more rocks for my tank.

My rock came in! 40 lbs of mixed dry rock from BRS. I made the mistake of asking for 'large' pieces, because I read that most people get softball sized pieces from them...I ended up with three HUGE rocks. LOL!

Next I will order another 20 lbs of softball sized rocks to fill it in a little better.

Now all I need is a few coraline algae scrapings and I am good to go!

pic's

Also' date=' anyone in the Eugene area have a macro lens / decent camera / tripod that they would be willing to let me borrow with their supervision? I want to take some decent pictures of my tank, and my cell phone takes terrible pictures.[/quote']

I am the worst at phone pic's and never slow down enogh to use a digi, hook it up to the lap top, go to photo bucket..a.d.h.d. look....something else...oh wait ....its moving! Anyway, take a look at AQUARISCOPE.. they are a sponsor here and in Eugene area I think. Algea has one,so does Impur and they are AMAZING!

Glad the frags are doing well!

I have been looking at those, they look REALLY cool. All the pictures I have posted are from my phone, just I have no control over the focus, so it wants to focus on the snail trail or the random thing floating through the tank rather than the huge bright red coral in the center of the shot. I just 'acquired' photoshop to play with stuff too, so I'm trying to get some decent pictures of my stuff for once. :]

You're welcome to swing by any time you want, I live in glenwood. Right now I am dealing with red slime algae, so the lights are off for another two days. What part of town do you live in? I also work at Aqua Serene now, so if you're ever in there, ask for me! I am usually out back doing pond stuff though.

So I just got another Cyano outbreak, just because with my new flame angel, I am so scared of him eating my coral, that every time I look at my tank, I feed him a teensy bit, just to keep him full and not looking for food. I woke up this morning and saw some cyano on my sandbed and just started laughing :] AT LEAST MY CORAL ISN'T MUNCHED! :]

They would want WAY to much for them. If they become a sponser, they will need to give a 40 percent discount just to make them reasonable.

So I was looking through a Takashi Amano book I have today, and couldn't leave well enough alone. I re-aquascaped my tank (again) but my fish LOVE it now. I also have a new way of mixing/adding food. I used an old Frank's Red Hot bottle and filled it with the two pellet foods I feed, and put the cap on and shook it. Now I have my food pre mixed, and one shake of the bottle adds just enough food for my fish! I also suspended my light over my tank.

So after making a donation to the 'Buy Garrett his second Ferarri fund,' I ended up with a few new corals! Also some live rock and finished my aquascaping. I might put one piece on the top left hand side to fill it out a bit, but overall I like it. Also set up my new skimmer for MikeP503. Thanks guys!
