Jay
If you want to attract new people to the forum you could make this website equally balanced with freshwater sections. If you look at this site it uses the same v bullitin systen as we do. Also look at their personal blogs section how its setup. Its like each user can have his own section....like the general section that we have but I can name it Jays blog and have seperate threads. Look here: http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/member-blogs/ I see they have lots of people on their site at all times and mabey that is because they cater to freshwater as well as marine?...I dunno its just a thought. I just joined their site and it looks busy busy busy. I am Jay_S there by the way for ne1 who wants to know. Jay

Jay
Yeah but the club name is "Marine" aquariums.... I know.....I wonder if the fresh water people here in pdx area have a local forum. Bet they already do. Jay
CA2OR
I haven't found one. I mean there are a couple sites that I have used that have a few members from out here but over all "no" there is no real site for FW folks.
pledosophy
There is a fresh water club in town, they do have there own forum, which has a salt water section. IIRC they are the Greater Portland Aquarium Society. While I see how this could attract a few more members I don't think we should compromise who we are to attract more people. Michael7979
Maybe just work out a deal where we can run a banner for their site here and vica-versa. New people will then see it at least.
Rick
I'm pretty sure there is already a local freshwater forum. OregonAqua was big into freshwater before he started his saltwater tank a few months ago and mentioned the local freshwater forum when he was picking up my old tank. We could have it for $100.00 more. That is something for the Board to decide. Should be a pretty easy integration. Jay

JManrow
http://WWW.GPAS.org GPAS does have a link to PNWMAS here, near the bottom of the page. http://www.gpas.org/e107_plugins/links_page/links.php Although GPAS has been mentioned here before, we should post a regular link to them. We had a regular links page at one time and setting up another would be a good idea.

pledosophy
That is unfortunate there site is not going so well. Perhaps there is something we could collaborate on for the benefit of both clubs. I'm not quite sure what though. Nice links there John. Some of the planted tanks are quite cool.
