After putting them in my Tank the Brown has gone away and the full color has come back making them great investments. My Question for you all is, What caused the Browning. Is it the Zoenthalia Algae turning brown? Is there other methods other than getting them into the correct lighting....(nutty) Happy Turkey Day... Randy-S Posted November 26, 2009 Share Posted November 26, 2009 nutrient heavy tanks = brown sps corals.. Calc and alk swings = brown sps.. to much po4= brown sps... improper lighting = brown sps... The conditions you have are making it much happier:D I have many pieces that I picked up like that and they look great now. Every once in a while I like to get a new brown out that shows a little potential just to see what I can get it to look like. kinda fun if you ask me. But the pieces I have gotten that have thrived are beautiful! So....if there are any corals out there that you might want to save let me know. I have lots of room in my tank!
