Rick
Yep, just trying to catch some food going by. Is it on top of a rock or something? Seems kind of deformed as though it's on top of something in the pics.
CA2OR
Stupid hermit crab was under it.
Rick
I don't have too many hermits left in my display. Every time I catch one near a coral I pluck it off and toss it in my sump or fuge. I think there may be 2 or 3 left in there now.

Rick
i quit feeding my fungias all together. my blows up like that when the lights go out. I pretty much have as well. Once every couple of weeks I'll give it a piece of shrimp but otherwise I let it get food from the water. Mine blows up anytime it has sand on top of it. CA2OR
so I shouldn't feed him?
Danik
how's that wind? every time i fed them, my blood shrimps take the food. i also have a scoly that i don't feed anymore and it keeps on growing.
CA2OR
the wind? I feed it the same time I feed my tank to prevent tang snatching food away. I have read that if it learns to grab food from fungia's mouth soon it finds the coral itself to be acceptable food.

Rick
so I shouldn't feed him? You would need to judge yourself whether it is getting enough food from the water column or not. Mine is healthy with very little feeding. Yours appears healthy in the pictures.
CA2OR
Hmm....I feed him all the time. He has grown very quickly.
