Ocean In a Box Posted September 1, 2009 Share Posted September 1, 2009 So I am on day 10 of the vodka dosing my systems and by George, I think it's working. You can see in the 1st photo how nasty and thick the brown algae was on my egg crate. In the 2nd and 3rd picks are a few days after I started and it appears that the algae is choking out which is exactly what I had hoped for. In some areas I can now see a green calcified looking algae like a coralene growing and where this is there is no brown gunk. I am going to continue the dosing as it appears to be providing the results I was hoping for. In addition the corals are looking great. I had several corals that were closing up and not looking good at all. I had all but counted them out. Now they are open all the way and looking great. They are either happy or drunk....maybe both. What are the levels now? whose dosing ideas did you use for your test? How many gallons of water are in the system(s) you are dosing?
