Hog Head Posted August 12, 2009 Share Posted August 12, 2009 Like the title says, are the PCI RPS 2000 Skimmer and MRC CR-1 Calcium Reactor good pieces of equipment? I am thinking about buying them from Blowsbubbles along with his 180 gal setup. I don't know anything about them and I figured I could get honest opinions here from real use experience rather than what the store or manufacturer thinks I want to hear. chewie Posted August 12, 2009 Share Posted August 12, 2009 The reactor is a good model. MRC makes some decent skimmers/reactors. I can't say the same for the RPS2000. Sure, it can pull skimmate but unless you're getting a GREAT deal, I would pass. There are much better designs out there for not too much $$$. Check out Vertex, MSX, Octo Extreme ect.
